The WNBA Draft was earlier today, and for those of you who missed it, here were the selections made during the first round:

3. Minnesota Lynx: Devereaux Peters, F (Notre Dame)

4. Tulsa Shock: Glory Johnson, F (Tennessee)

5. San Antonio Silver Stars: Shenise Johnson, G (Miami)

6. Phoenix Mercury: Samantha Prahalis, G (Ohio State)

7. New York Liberty: Kelley Cain, C (Tennessee)

8. Washington Mystics: Natalie Novosel, G (Notre Dame)

9. Connecticut Sun: Astan Dabo, C (Mali)

10. Washington Mystics: LaSondra Barrett, F (LSU)

11. Indiana Fever: Sasha Goodlett, C (Georgia Tech)

12. Minnesota Lynx: Damiris Dantas, C (Brazil)

    And at number 13 a name that someone in the history of human beings that is not a figment of her parents imagination. For real, that is quite a list of names outside of Kelley Cain. — Glory Johnson for WNBA Draft MVN (most valuable name).


    how did the sparks get the 1st overall? i swear they were like .500 last season.
