Polladaday: Is Chris Bosh a ‘Centerpiece’?

Free agent to be, Chris Bosh recently told NBA.com, “I’m not an addition, I’m a centerpiece.” Is he right?

Can Chris bosh be the best player on a championship team?

Dude would be amazing next to LeBron or Wade. But on his own? We’ve already seen how that’s worked out.

This is all about driving up Bosh’s visibility and trade value. Someone will likely invest in futures with less regard to the past. Bosh and his agent hope to bank on it.

He’s A Pau Gasol piece to a team. More corner Stone than Centerpiece…

Yeah, he had very little help in Toronto, and although I think he’s a great player, I don’t think that he’s “the Man” on a top 5 team.

I disagree with popular opinion. Who was Bosh playing with again? The biggest star he had alongside him was a geriatric Jermaine O’neal. In however many years as a leader in Tdot he never once had a star-calibre guard or forward alongside him. I guess we all can’t have a baby fit, demand a trade, and get four all-stars alongside us.

People seem to forget that Chris Bosh is already playing WAY better than Pau Gasol ever did by himself… Just saying. Pau Gasol is probably a better compliment, but Chris Bosh is more of a franchise player than a lot of you think.

Lakers are going to trade Bynum for Bosh, so he will be a third option on the Lakers. Insider info: BOOK IT!!!

The only way Bosh would be the centerpiece of a championship team is if he was a part of a “Big-Three” where he was narrowly the best player on the team.

He can be like Shaq to Kobe during their Chips period

How many PF’s over the past decade or two can really claim to be “The Man”? Tim Duncan, Dirk, KG, CWebb, Karl Malone, Shawn Kemp, Barkley. The list isn’t long. How many really good PFs have there been that aren’t really “The Man” material? Loads more. Nothing to be ashamed of.

To be fair how many players take their team anywhere with no help at all? He just needs some good players round him never mind lebron or dwade!

Bosh is definitely no Malone, KG or Dirk. He might be a C-Webb. He’s a nice 1A.
