Polladaday: Who should be the Knicks priority?

With recent reports that LeBron & Bosh to Chicago is “a done deal” and no signs of Dwyane Wade leaving Miami, the New York Knicks summer of love is starting to look a little lonely. Surely someone wants all that money, right? Right?

If the Knicks can't sign LeBron, Wade or Bosh, who should be their top priority?

    The only outcome of this summer that I want is for LeBron to leave Cleveland and win the 2011 championship for some other team. That’s what Cleveland “witnesses” deserve for their pathetic and shameless worship of a basketball player.

    What a drag! If The Knicks got all four that still wouldn’t guarantee the Conference finals, much less a chip. I’m in New York and for the last 2 years the newspapers have been printing about Lebron. Even going as far as having a calendar every day in the paper for 2 years dwindling down to July 1st. Now the NY media is tryna let us down easy, hyping up Joe Johnson. How about this, stop looking for a saviour to throw money at and get a solid point guard, some athletic forwards, some shooters and play that hardnosed New York defense we were known for in the Oakley-Mason-Ewing era and let’s climb our way out of the gutter one step at a time. No need for a superstar in New York, this is a gritty city that would much appreciate a team like Detroit a few years ago. No egos just hard work. Can’t wait til Dolan era is over.

    I gotta say Rudy only because he’s a lot younger than the others. You sign an Amare or a Johnson to a five year contract, toward the end they’ll be 33, 34 years old! Gay will only be 28, about the same age the others are right now. But Any one of those would improve the Knicks.

    joe johnson and amare would fit nicely together as they have before but i think the best fit would be gay and amare.. their games will blend nicely and gay will in time develop into one of the top players i the L so ny wont be that bad after all.. they sould win at least 44 games
