Polladaday: More Superfriends?

The Decision is still the talk of the league with everyone from Michael Jordan to Marion Barry throwing their two cents in. Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony have stated they have no interest in joining Miami, they’d like to compete with them. Which makes us wonder, what would be another great super team?

What is another Superteam you'd like to see?

    Williams, Durant, Howard.

  • http://slamonline.com Bryan Cawford

Deron, Durant, and Dwight would be sick. No overlap in positions. I think they would take Miami.

    Triple D’s! Make it happen!

Deron and Dwight would never sign with OKC. Durant’s new contract made sure of that! Next.

so how many of these actually have any chance of happening? because if there’s no shot then we might as well just pick three players and say we want them to be on the same team. heck, let’s have paul, kobe and lebron.

Who thought Bron, Wade & Bosh would actually happen?

  • riggs

paul carmelo and amare would be a force to contend with, guys who can either break you down with the pick and roll or take you one on one.

  • IndyB

    I’d really rather not.

  • Jose

In sum slim chance of reality, TP could go to LA if they were willing to part w/ bynum, i mean his name came usually comes up when big trade rumors happen, and well we’ve all heard of the paul, melo, stat conspiracies so those 2 choices aren’t entirely unlikely

  • Riot! Wyatt!

personally I’d like to see ‘Reke, Durant, and Griffin Grown together…in OKC..lol i mean if we’re just throwing things together….but that NYK team would be fun to watch though

    CP3, Melo, Amare…….*salivating*

Williams, Durant and Howard would rule the league for the next ten years.

  • unrel

parker going to LA wouldn’t surprise me.. vet pg joining a winning squad.. but probably won’t happen..

  • WolfNast

Williams, Durant and Howard in OKC!

The only plausible scenario is CP3, Melo, and Amar’e getting together in the Big Apple. All those other “Superteam” scenarios (especially D-Will, Durant, and Howard) make pipe dreams look realistic.

  • EJ

Cp3, Melo And Amare is the most realistic, but the trio that would work the best: D-Will, KD and Dwight, Deron’s one of the best passers in the game, Durant’s one of the deadliest scorers in the game and Dwight’s a beast on the glass, that would be better than Miami Thrice, cause their roles aren’t as fitting. And I don’t want Tony Parker in LA, although “French Prince of Bel Air” would be a cool nickname.

    Wade, LBJ, Dwight.
I like Mr Parker-Longoria but he aint even fresh enough to be in the same sentence as Kobe and Pau.

  • DreJayAre

If the Lake Show gets a PG to play quarters 1-3 at a high level, would they lose before Kobe retires?

Where was the choice none? What are you pushing the league turning into the WWF. How many SUPER stars are there. 12 -15. SO that means 4 or 5 Dream teams and the rest get drilled every night.

What is wrong with you writers? DOn’t you have any responsibility to protect the game. Or is just all about you being a frontrunner and picking one of the 5. The only fans who would get into this are the people who love watching bullies kick weaker peoples ass, and UFC watchers. I don’t believe that is a big enough audience to support the NBA.

Try and act like adults and show some responsibility to the league and the competitive balance. And when you need your Middle Ages urge to watch people get beat turn on UFC.

When you people who think its all about the hype and glitz finally get your way 13 arenas a night will be empty. Good Future!

But hell who cares about the future when there is Now & ME!

  • Groves

I waould like to see CP3, Melo and Amare team up…. but only if it happens in denver. i want to see a super team in orlando with dwight howard too which basically means the same orlando team as it is now with one star player added

  • troy

Isnt the lakers and the Celtics already built as a superteam (though the celtics are old…)

  • troy

Doubters and Haters say teams with multiple stars wont work but then why do the teams with multiple stars (i.e. Lakers, Celtics) always get the chip?

  • http://www.twitter.com/JoshElam JE

    none, really.

  • unrel

@AzCleve.. it’s just a poll.. relax.. now if they dedicated any more bandwidth.. i can see where you’re coming from.. but wowzers.. and i’m not sure how much clout a blogger has on ‘competitive balance’.. you might want to tweet that to Riles..

  • unrel

@troy.. i think it’s the way the teams were formed that rub people the wrong way.. regardless of who won the trades.. bos/la both made trades to get their stars.. whereas.. it can appear.. miami bought there big 3.. i can care less.. i’m a laker fan.. so i’m more concerned about getting out the west, first..
