Braylon Edwards vs LeBron & Friends

by Marcel Mutoni

Braylon Edwards of the Cleveland Browns had himself a miserable game against the Cincinnati Bengals this past Sunday. So, to take out his frustrations, he punched one of LeBron James’s friends in the face. Naturally.

For reasons that remain unclear at this point, Braylon got into it with one of LBJ’s friends — a club promoter of sorts — and the victim claimed that the Browns’ receiver assaulted him because of his jealousy of King James.

For what it’s worth, James did not appreciate Edwards’s actions. And the AP was there to capture LeBron’s reaction to the alleged incident:

“I’ve never crossed paths with Braylon before, but it seems like there’s a little jealousy going on with Braylon and me and my friends. I have no idea why,” the Cavaliers superstar said after practice.

“I’ve never said anything to Braylon at all. But for him to do that is very childish. My friend is 130 pounds. Seriously. It’s like hitting one of my kids. It doesn’t make sense.”

I’m not sure what’s more emasculating for Bron Bron’s buddy: getting punked in front of the whole club, or having your superstar friend compare you to one of his kids. Either way, it’s not a good look.

Despite Braylon’s public statement denying any issue with LeBron Inc., if James ends up leaving next summer, Edwards and his dropped catches might want to think about relocating as well. His life in Cleveland will not be pleasant.
