Marcus Morris Apologizes for ‘Female Tendencies’ Insult

Knicks forward Marcus Morris expressed regret for saying Jae Crowder has “got a lot of female tendencies on the court” following a Wednesday night brouhaha.

Crowder drew the ire of New York’s players when he took a three-pointer with 48 seconds remaining in the Utah Jazz’s 127-106 blowout at Madison Square Garden, and was shoved into the stands by Elfrid Payton.

Both players were ejected.

Per The NY Post:

“I just had problem with the last shot,” Payton said. “It had nothing to do with how the game went. You just don’t do that. He knows better than that (to take the shot). And you know what comes with that.”

The fans chanted “Sell the team’’ as owner James Dolan left his seat as the melee ensued with [Julius] Randle and Marcus Morris also getting into the fray. Dolan could be seen shouting at security during the chants, specifically directing them to a vocal teenager.

“He’s got a lot of female tendencies on the court, flopping and throwing his head back,” Morris said of Crowder. “He’s soft, very woman-like.”

Morris added Crowder was “unprofessional” in taking the shot.
