Battling a chronic hip injury, Tiago Splitter officially announced his retirement from basketball on Sunday.

In an interview with SporTV, Splitter said (roughly translated from Portuguese), “It’s not something I want, but the hip injury I’ve been having is more troublesome than we thought.”
