Willie Warren Signs With Israeli Team Maccabi Rishon


Former L.A. Clippers point guard Willie Warren has signed a one-year deal with Israeli team Maccabi Rishon. Warren, who was selected by the Clippers with the 54th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, played sparingly during his rookie season, and was relegated to the D-League on multiple occasions. More details, via EuroBasket.com: “He arrives to the club from the NBA D-League team Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Warren joined them in January, averaging 13.9 points, 3.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds. In 2010/11, the PG appeared 19 times in the NBA with LA Clippers. He had 1.9 ppg and 1.4 apg. He also played 15 games for the Bakersfield Jam in D-League adding 19.2 ppg, 5.7 apg and 4 rpg. Willie Warren left University of Oklahoma in 2010, after his sophomore season.”
