Hey it’s the Celtics! After two games, they’ve forced LeBron into 8 for 42 shooting with 17 turnovers. That’s good defense. Wouldn’t you like to read about how that defense came to be and how the players became so committed to it and each other? Of course you would!

    I dont know where to write an entry for trashtalk, but i feel a little respect is due. .. i opened my SlaM mag this month and saw a new name under the ‘senior writers’. Shout to my dude Jake Appleman for FINALLY grabbing the spot he deserves. I had a couple talks with this guy when he covered a tournament i played in…or watched, rather. I havent learned that much n laughed that hard since the last time i got benched. but seriously, i feel the respect is due, so ‘what up’ to Jake n keep writin dude.

    Well, this issue got screwed up royally. I BOUGHT it for the Clyde Drexler article, only to see that said article was cut short for 8 consecutive pages of EastBay ads. Great work, Slam!
