Our tradition of not unveiling our new covers until they are actually on newsstands is not likely to change much in the future, but the SLAM 160 cover is just too special to keep under wraps.

We’ll explain a little more about how we’ve already shot Anthony in a Hornets jersey in print and on the site when this ish drops for real in about 12 days, but for now just enjoy a dope, timely image of one of the most exciting players to enter the NBA in a long time.

    LOVING THIS COVER, MAN!!! Can’t wait to pick it up. SLAM should dedicate this cover to all the people that said Kentucky wasn’t going anywhere this season. Here’s one of the reasons why on this cover. I sincerely hope draftexpress.com is right in its projections, because if AD gets to team up with Damian Lillard on the Hornets,….it’s on!!!!

    Yea I used to be like that. But I made a 6’11 Center back to the basket traditional type monster rebounder. GOt drafted by the Bucks(f*ck!) make the playoffs as a rookie beat the Celtics first round as the 6 seed, lose to the Bulls in 5. I had a monster game 26 points 10 boards and 3 blocks. Beat that! haha

    Cover looks great and I don’t mean to nitpick but if you look at the space between the jersey and his left shoulder in comparison to the right it looks a tad off but I guess that’s how you can tell you shot it beforehand.

    i remember seeing a poster about 20 years ago with grant hill dunking in game wearing the teal/horse head jersey, but that poster came out in the summer BEFORE the team actually played a game with the new jersey. it was hilarious.
    —
    side note: teams lost their minds during the mid 90′s when they changed their jersey to make them absolutely cartoonish. 1st generation raptors jersey, anyone?
