Win a pair of LeBron’s Nike Zoom Soldier IIs!

Courtesy of Sneaker Auction and SLAM Presents KICKS Magazine (this time in a rare — as in, not for sale — colorway!).

We proudly debuted the new issue of KICKS Magazine last week on the site, and to help celebrate its release, our friends at Sneaker Auction have teamed with us to give away six pairs of the Zoom Soldier II, and while three are gone, we’ve still got three to giveaway in this unique camo colorway.

To win you need to write about how you’ve seen LeBron show passion for the game. Please write your thoughts on LeBron’s passion in the comments section and include your shoe size. We got three winners from last week’s contest, all of whom have been mailed their shoes, but a lot more than three good entries. Hopefully this version of the shoe gets us some new people participating, but if you feel like what you wrote last week was good, feel free to cut-and-paste your previous entry and do it again. Remember to include your shoe size after telling us how LeBron shows his passion for the game. When this post is no longer on the homepage you can find it (and all our other generous giveaways) in the Slamonline contest archive. This contest was originally going to end Monday, August 25th, but since it took us awhile to get this one up it is extended until Thursday, August 28th. So get your mini-essays written and make some room in your closet…one last note, the brown strap in the image is not on the shoe; it’s from a previous photoshoot.

lebron has showed passion by coming to every game ready to win by supporting his countrys basketball program , by teaching highschool kids how to be better players. HE leads his team to victory every time he dosent make excuses for losing a gaem he shares the ball takes care of it and more importantly puts it in the hoop
And this is why lebron shows passion for the game

lebron has showed passion by accepting the role that cleveland has thrust him into. He is the franchise player day in and day out and he knows that and comes to be that on game night. He does not accept his skills as they are and works to improve them. He is the ultimate teamate. His passion is shown through him still playing the game even though he is dominating it.

Lebron shows a passion for the game in everything that he does on the basketball court and off the basketball court. He shows a passion for the game by respecting its past, present, and future. In his own words, lebron is “a mixture of old school and new school”. lebron shows a passion for the game by respecting his opponent, never trashing them after wins and never making excuses after losses. he shows a passion for the game by winning with humility and losing with grace. lebron shows a passion for the game by representing his home country, something that he clearly wants to do. lebron shows a passion for the game by not hogging the ball, but spreading it around to everyone, just like how basketball is supposed to be played. lebron shows a passion for the game by playing hard in every minute, taking every opportunity. Lebron shows a passion for the game by being generous with his hard earned money, giving to charities and giving money to support his beliefs. lebron shows a passion for the game on a daily basis. size 12.

size 10 as well. Lebron James playin for the cavs and the U.S. in the olympic games. has no fear he’ll drive if you get too near, if ya back up hell shoot the three, there begins his killing spree, the game of basketball is his passion he dont need commercials advertising fashion his emotion and love for the game is undeniable when the game is on the line hes always reliable. every night he comes ready to play, in front of you he will not lay as he is unstoppable unblockable, basically hes the heart of the game to anyone else he is not the same there is no aspect of his game you can call lame. lebron james, bow during his reign.

I see Lebron as a warrior, and not just in the old cliche sort of way. I mean truly pushing the limits and boundaries of his game and his team and forcing his will on said boundaries to eclipse them. Though he is the number one option on his team, he always aims at getting better, making his teammates better, and improving in contest play in the NBA, Worlds, or Olympics. He isn’t just confined to showing his passion on the court, but he shares with the community and the children who admire him for what he does. Most importantly, though, the fire is demonstrated in the way he plays the game. When he first came in the league, the naysayers ripped him for the contracts, the drama, the hype; he didn’t let down. He hardly possessed a jump shot, was surrounded by subpar talent minus big Z, and was in an otherwise small market on a team that had little success or had it stripped from them (see: Jordan on Ehlo). All the pressures that were on his shoulders from jump as a rookie, he focused his energy toward the game. He took a lowly team and franchise from close to the bottom of the East to the Finals in 4 years, something most ball players at this level can’t attest to but only dream of. He’s just entering his 6th season and is one of the greatest players in the league, the country, and the world…but you still see the determination on his face, the will to push for that W, the support of his teammates and coaches, the willingness to not give up and try harder next time. I got the chance to see him play my Clips 2 seasons ago and there’s nothing like seeing him live and in person to observe the intensity he displays. Two thinigs that sum it up for me was Game 5, 2007 Eastern Conference Finals vs. Detroit, and the Game 4 dunk over KG. The shoe names fits cuz he is a soldier thru and thru, and like the eminem song with the same names says:
    “I’m a soldier
These shoulders hold up so much
They wont budge, I’ll never fall or fold up
    I’m a soldier
Even if my collar bones crush or crumble
I will never slip or stumble.”

Have you seen the passion in LeBrons eyes during a signature windmill dunkk on a breakaway? Some guys on a breakaway just lay it up and you can tell that they care only for the money. LeBron shows that he is not in it for the money but for the love of the game. To LeBron basketball is life. Passion isnt just when you have the ball. Passion is when you go beyond and do extra, when you can also steal, rebound, get open, and chase every loose ball. The King even cares enough of showing everyone of his passion. Nike advertised “Witness” for LeBron, but I think it is not just witnessing his game but his compassion as well. There is nothing like it. LeBron is like a Soldier on the court. A soldier is strong and is a leader. This defines LeBron and his passion. Only a person with extreme passion can carry his team past the best teams and through the playoffs. Everyone who loves basketball should look up to LeBron as he is the best role model of Passion on and off the court.

Lebrons passion for the game is unbelievable. For him to know so much about the game and love to play it at a high level every time he steps foot on any bball court is amazing. You never hear him dissrespect the past great players, all you hear from him is the respect he has for players he looked up too like magic johnson, michael jordan, kobe bryant, etc. Every year there is talk about lebron and kobe being the 2 best players in the world and sometimes people say lebron is better than kobe but everytime he is asked about that he gives kobe the ultimate respect and says he is the best by far.

Lebrons passion for the game is shown not only during games but its shown through his work ethic. For him to work on his game the way he does to become the best in the world shows his passion. Every year he gets better and better. Its to the point where you know that he is going to be better the next season and add somethings you’ve never seen him do in his game. Also for such a young man its PHENOMonal. The guy is only 23 years old. He was draft #1 in arguably the best draft in NBA history…OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL. That shows his passion for the game stems back since he was in high school and most likely in his early teens.

His passion for the game is shown through his unselfishness. People are always getting on him cause he is willing to pass up a contested shot for himself for an open shot for a teammate. That shows passion to get your team involved at the end of games even though he is the superstar and is looked at to take contested shots. How many superstars in todays game are willing to get his teammates involved at the end of games? There is only one that I know of and that is Lebron James.

Now to his defense. Under Mike Brown and Coach K he has shown his love and passion to play defense. He has learned the fundamentals of defense and uses what he has learned and adds it to his physical strengths. There are many superstars disinterested in playing defense but lebron has shown in order to win in this league you must play defense. From all the team U.S.A videos I’ve seen Lebron is the voice for that teams defense and to lead a group of NBA superstar shows a love and passion to win by anymeans.

Also in his first years as an NBA player he had so much hype around him it was enough to make a normal person sit in a dark room staring at a window, but lebron isnt normal he is a PHENOM. When he can achive all the hype that was on him that was amazing but when in reality that hype wasnt enough to define what type of player he can be then you have to just look in aw and say to yourself “Can he really get better?”. That just shows his passion to get better as a player and work on his game.

LeBron shows so much passion for the game on and off the court. You can tell in everything he does. He has Nike skills camps and clinics, he does charities and charity games. Now im not gonna tell you about his life or his ECF performance because im sure everyone else beat me to wikipedia for that one. But he makes every attempt he can to make the game global, and make his name and brand household througout the world.

LeBron James shows an amazing amount of passion for the game. Every time he drives, you can see the passion on his face, every jaw-dropping dunk he throws down, his facial expression describes how unvelievably much he loves the sport. His work rate is stunning, far more than the average basketball player, even NBA player. He singelhandedly led a City team to the a deciding game 7 Conference semi-finals, only to lose, with next to no offensive help from his teammates.
Anybody who doubts LeBron James’ passion, just remember a memory that still haunts Pistons fans today; game 5. incase you need reminding, the series started in detroit, LeBron passed up the crucial shot on the winning possession, actually losing the game because of his unselfishness. the cavs then lose game 2 at the pistons, going home 0-2. games 3 and 4 LeBron led his team to vital wins with 32, 9 and 9 in game 3, and 25 and 11 assists in game 4. 2-2 now, with the pistons still holding homecourt. Then, game 5 came and the unbelievable happened. If that wasnt passion for the sport, I dont know what is. 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 48 POINTS, 50 minutes of hard work, a game-winning clutch play, homecourt advantage earned, and a historical event remembered as one man singelhandedly took a city to the nba finals for the first time in their history. THAT is passion. But it doesnt stop at the playoffs. this summer is a combination of attending youth camps, working and working to improve as much as he can, and winning his country an olympic gold medal, finishing just in time for training camp. he literally plays a year of non-stop basketball. if that isnt passion for the game, i dont know what is.

Let me start off by saying you can’t define Lebron’s passion. You can’t. There aren’t any words to describe what makes him dive on the floor after a loose ball, risking his body for what he loves. Nothing defines what pushes him to shoot thousands of jumpers after practice to improve his game, why he pushes himself past his limits to bring his lowly team into the playoffs each year. The only way to define Lebron’s passion is in his actions. He drips it when he plays til he can barely stand. He glares it when he drives the lane for a nasty poster on an opponent. And most of all, he carries it on his back when he simply takes over games. They call Lebron a soldier; he isn’t a soldier. A soldier is a follower, a unit controlled by a general. Lebron isn’t a king either, for a king controls others without doing anything himself. No, Lebron is a conqueror, a Genghis Khan or Alexander the Great. He leads his team and dominates opponents. Quite simply, Lebron James is passion. size 13

My mother has a garden. Filled with plants and vegetables. And there is one plant, that has a strong stock. Its big yet graceful. It brings the best out of every other plant, like it is nurturing all them by some sort of higher power. The thing that is most fasciating about this plant is that when all the other plants curl up, and close when it gets dark. It stays up, it pushes, and pushes and never rest’s. It seems as though it watches over the garden, like it’s his and it know’s it. Even though animals and bugs may ruin some parts of the garden … the plant is never touched, never bothered, never scarred. This plant … is Lebron. Cleveland is his team, the NBA is his stepping stone to become one of the best to ever grace the rock. Passion is coming into the locker room of a team not worthy enough to play with him, and still being a leader. Still being the man. Still having the ability to be … King.

Lebron displays his passion for the game by giving us the advantage of ‘witnessing’ the drive he has drive for the game, night in n night out. No highschool player ever forshadowed that they were(instantly) going to take the league by storm like lebron did. Lebron shows us his passion by accepting, and even embracing every challenge the basketball world sets in front of him. His thirst for glory is so obvious, I think can see it on his game-face. He has met all our expectations but he wants to exceed them. This is why we get to see a coupla new and refined attributes in his arsenal everytime November comes around. This is why he will never take MORE money and head to europe.

Yo MJ, Lebron doesnt wanna be you,

LeBron James shows passion by showing his love for the game if he hasnt impressed you you are not a basketball fan when he does his chalk clap he is showing that he is ready to take on anyone that covers him Lebron has proved to so many people that even if he is a young guy that he can easley be called one of the best players in the game today whenever you see a furios jam by lebron it gives you goose bumps when you see him fly that high i think Lebron is the most passionest player in the leauge today scoring 42 points against detroit in the 2006 eastern confrence finals showed you how much he wanted to get to the Nba Finals when Lebron tasted those finals and knew what it takes to win them i believe it made him more eager to get to the trophy LeBron lets us “wittnes” the star performance he puts on every night he makes people so jealous that even fans in New York that have his jersey on want to fight him i think Lebron is the best player in the Nba today it was no dubt why his nickname is the chosen one Fernando age 12 size 8 and a half

LeBron James shows passion every game. He never takes a day off. He could score thirty, fourty or even fifty points a night… But, the thing Bron loves doing more than scoring is making the Cavs better. He’s a two gaurd (also SF and PF) in the Hulks body. He finds open teamates and is unselfish. He carrys his team on his shoulders (up over his back) and says, “Were going to the playoffs no matter what the pistons, wizrds or even the celtics have to say about it”. LeBron shows no mercy and hes been relentless since high-school. Lebron Is the Cavs… LeBron is Akron Ohio.

Lebron has shown his passion by being able to humble himself as a member of the Redeem Team. He felt the heartache and disappointment of past Olympic failures but did not allow that to convince him to give up. It takes genuine passion to fail and be humiliated yet still come back for redemption. Size 11 please

LeBron Raymone James is a true American player. He’s been on the eye public since he was 16 years old. Either playing th main American sport football or playin basketball.
And just to be able tyo take his high school team to their best record since long time 27-0.

Mr. James AkA has love for the game, because he wants the young people to work on the main basic basketball material that a lot of basketball players has forgotten theses past years that is fundamental. He says just learn your fundamental moves and then you can do whatever you want on the court.

One thing is true you don’t have to be really good or have a lot of skills to play a sport, you need Lebron James heart. Why do I say this? Because you need love and heart to dominate in you high school and in your state to dominate in the two main high school sports. Basketball & Football.

Thats why LeBron Raymone James AkA King 23 James as a passion for the game, he just don’t have a passion for basketball, he got a passion for sport. Because he coulded went pro on basketball or football.

    Thanks for reading this.

Almost every time I watch LeBron James play the game of basketball, I wonder what I will tell my grandkids about the one they call King. The fact of the matter is, if he retired now, no championships, no MVPs, people would still talk about him. He’s one of those players, a man signified by one name. Will I wave my wrinkled arms and try to convey the scene of LeBron powering past yet another overwhelmed defender, will I try to raise my right arm, hearing the bones creak and display the one-handed tomahawk LeBron has made his own? Probably, and they’ll roll their eyes and shush me, as they try to decipher the garbled speech in Rocky XXVI. But if they don’t listen to a single damn thing I tell them, they will listen to me talking about passion, and LeBron James. You could see it in his debut, with millions of bloated expectations hanging around his 18-year old shoulders, as he went out and put on an absolutely incredible showing. You could see the passion, in the powerful dunks, the shots where he floated through the air, the pin point passes. Years of practice, years of waiting paid off, and the hype machine doubled in size. I’ll tell them next about watching him hang 56 on the Raptors. I was in a stuffy hotel room, at a soccer tournament I didn’t be at, watching with my brother, willing LeBron to stop assaulting my team, hoping that every hit he took as he went to the rim would slow him down. But nothing did. That insane passion for the game drove the Chosen One to attack, attack and attack, and become the youngest player to reach 50 points ever. The next game I will preach about to the youngsters, will be his debut. Finally a taste of the Playoffs for the young man, and here the passion was more evident than ever. I watched in a crowded basement (as my TV has only three channels) and watched a passionate young man play his heart out, and make history in the process. Last but not least, I’ll pull out an NBA encyclopedia and point a crooked finger at LeBron cutting through the Detroit defense for an emphatic two. The warrior that is LeBron was on display in this particular Game 5. For one night, LeBron was more than a player. For a short while, he was transformed into some sort of hardwood god, absolutely untouchable. Anything that left his hands dropped right through, and no matter how many different defenses were thrown at him, LeBron got to the tin, and left Detroit wondering where it all went wrong. 29 of the last 30 points. 48 points. But the examples of LeBron’s passion goes on. There are the summers he’s devoted to American basketball, the passion to take over not just the basketball world, but the business world also, and the passion he pours into bringing US basketball back to the top. Though the kids will shrug their shoulders and shake their heads, more interested in watching their NBA (even though the ‘N’ will no longer make sense), I’ll know. You’re asking about passion? LeBron James and passion go hand in hand.

Lebron has shown his passion by leading his not so great cavaliers team to the nba finals in 2007 even though many did not believe that he could revive the franchise by himself and that is what he has done. He is also showing his passion for basketball by leading the USA Basketball team through an amazing show in Beijing already beating spain in the prelims and argentina in the semis. He has done this because ever since 2004 and the bronze medal, Lebron decided he let down everyone in America and took it upon himself to guarantee a gold this year if that is not passion than what is. No other baller in the L embodies passion in the way LeBron does. The King has clear motivation to be a cut above the competition. All of No. 23′s dribbles, movements, and decisions on the court are all performed to the max – his unbelieveable level of drive and determination begin with the talcom powder and end with the W. Win or loss, though, LeBron’s never satisfied. He gets paid a King’s ransom and EARNS it by embracing the “never die” attitude that has gotten him to this point and by committing to basketball and making it a 24/7/365 lifestyle. From LBJ’s on the court heroics to his off the court speakings on Darfur, “G-R-E-A-T-N-E-S-S” is written all over the man. And the greatness, the will, and the energy transpire from LeBron’s endless passion for the sport. Shoe size 10, please.

LeBron shows his passion for this game in his name.”L” as in Live.Lebron lives for basketball everyday, since the day he was born. This young man was destined to play.”E”as in Eternal. The eternal fire inside of him.the fire that cannot be put out regardless of hom many people try,the fire never weakens(despite the loses)it only stengthens and becomes harder to put out.”B” as in Basketball.the sport this man put his body, mind, sweat, tears, blood, heart and soul into this game.Sure every person who’s played has passion for the rock, but he takes that passion to another level,an inhuman level;a level that almost frightens you,but don’t fear him.”R” as in Respect.Lebron has so much respect for this game.He is always attempting to show his respect by playing as hard as possible, even when things look bleak. His respect for the game pushes him, because he doesn’t want to let the game down.”O” as in Otherworldly. So many athletes have come and gone, yet we see this 23 year old phenom and cannot describe his actions.we use words like ‘spectacular’ and ‘amazing’ but those are understatements. He goes beyond the rim. And then there is “N” as in Never.never stop living for the game, never disrespect the game never hold back, never stop showing your passion for the game. That’s how LEBRON shows his passion.

Lebron shows passion for the game by being himself and never changing for anyone. He embodies what any player should want to be. Someone who will do whatever it takes to win. You take basketball away from that man and you are taking the whole man, Lebron has made not only Cleveland fans believers, but the whole world. I’m not usually one to make comparisons but i can say without a doubt that lebron is the best player since jordan. the absolute dominance of teams. willing a team much worse than jordans teams to the finals. and all before he turns 24. plain and simple, in my book Lebron James is basketball…

I’ve seen LeBron show the most passion I have seen in a basketball game when he scored 29 of his teams last 30 points and 48 total in game 5 of the 2007 ECF against the Detroit Pistons, winning the game for the Cavs in double OT. He literally carried his team to victory. Size 11.

Lebrons passion is his continuance in being not afraid of anybody. Even the swarming defenses that he knows is going to crowd him, he’ll try to plow through it anyway. Duncan? I’ll dunk on you. KG? I’ll dunk on you. Even more than that though is he thinks it is not enough, always adding more moves to his reportoir. He had his drives. Now he’s got a jumper. He’s adding the passing. Now trying to get down the 3. And the latest addition? Letting his man run by him and blocking the shot from behind. If you’ve been watching any of the olympic games that is his new go-to defensive move.

He knows he’s good, he wants to improve, and he’s not afraid of anything that tries to challenge him. Try and tell me that’s not passion.

I see LeBron’s passion the moment he steps on the court. I’m not gonna throw out numbers like many others have done. His greatness and talent does not show his passion for the game. His passion is evident by looking in the fire in his eyes. LeBron can get mean when he needs to be. He pours his heart and soul into every game whether its against the Charlotte Bobcats or the world champions Boston Celtics. There are many stars that put up great numbers in the nba but there are a unique few that demonstrate love and desire for the game as LBJ. LeBrons yell after a thunderous jam sends out waves of passion through each of our television sets. When LeBron entered the league he was named the “chosen one”. With such a glorious title came a lot of criticsm. People around the sporting world began to criticize his jumper, his free throw shooting, his mental strength, and even his passion for the game. After leading his team to a finals appearance two years ago and a scoring title this previous season LeBron has proved his critics now. Now, LeBron’s passion for the game is definitely undeniable. If I happen to win my show size is 11.

Lebron’s passion can be seen when he steps onto the court…and that immediately translates into his game. You can see it everytime he throws it down on someone, when he hits that game-winning shot in front of millions…but what sets him apart from the others is the fact that off the court he is a down-to-earth husband and father….that is the true display of passion.

From the flying of chalk dust into the air to the mind-boggling dunks that LeBron performs, his passion for the game is unmistakable. On this year’s Team USA, he proved that he can be the leader at such a young age. He proved that making the three-year commitment to the team was worth it. He proved that USA is there for only one reason and that is to win gold. How did he do that? By being a passionate athlete, teammate, countryman, and coach.

Lebron James shows his passion on the court my led his team to victory not only by scoring points but by making his teammates around better(Top ten in Assists). His stats are only the icing on the cake he exemplifies his passion on the court by being the team leader and trusting his teammates (willing to make that extra pass that few great players are willing to make )and willing to except the crictism that he has. He came into the league as the Chosen one Now he has become the King. Passion for Greatness can’t be denied its only a matter of time before he will be in his own catergory along side NBA Greatest Players. Passion is proving your crictics wrong,Passion is leading your team where they never gone Before,Passion drives you to become the best ,Passion is Greatness,Passion is Lebron James

I see Lebron show passion in everything. From the moment he picked up basketball, he has been pasionate. Lebron showed passion in childhood, working hard because of his passion for the game, and dominating in high school. Not only did he dominate, but he always picked up his teamates and lead his team. Then nba scouts notficed his passion and at 18 he was in the nba. From day one, lebron has been a team leader, and showed passion by earning rookie of the year honors despite competing against a strong class including d-wade. Lebron then went on to become one of the fiercest most passion filled players in the nba. From the tenacity all over the court, the skill to carry his team to the nba finals, the maturity to be his teams spokesperson, to leading his team to olympic gold (in a few days) despite the fact that he is one of the youngest players and the fact that there are veterans on the team. With so many passionate moments, passion is the face of lebron james basketball. Size 10

Size 10 also. I’m 14 years old and a freshman in a hidden away high school in rural new mexico. i grew up loving the game and the players. one of the things about me is that i HATE losing and will do anything to win. I see that in LeBron…times ten. some of these guys even in the NBA, you can tell, dont have that fire that makes you a champion. some of those players make it seem like it’s work, complaining about not making 50 million dollars. LeBron doesn’t complain. He goes to practice every day and makes it seem like it’s the one thing he’d want to be doing. I am convinced he would play for free. He will do anything to win and picks his teammates up when they are down. Even though he doesn’t have an NBA crown yet, he is a leader, a winner in every aspect of the game. I, and I am sure others as well, see LeBron as a great inspiration and try to emulate the way he plays. Not because he is one of the best players in the world, but because he plays with passion, fire, intensity, whatever you wish to call it. LeBron has that intangible quality, that “It” that cannot be taught that makes him a dream player. I can only wish to approach what he has done as a player and as a man.

Lebron plays with about as much passion as anyone else. The way he fearlessly takes that sh!t to the hole on anyone (KG will vouch for that) and will battle with anyone (Paul Pierce will tell you) even though his team sucks. Seriously, besides Big Z and newly gotten Mo Williams (who may or maynot work out for them) who do they have? Name one threat on that team? The point is, agianst all odds Lebron always rises up like my pants after watching big-@ssed chicas walk down the street. If Lebron even had a somewhat decent lineup that included one other high scorer, the Cavs would be a dynasty. But they dont.

I’m a size 10 so I’ll give you ten reasons why Lebron is so passionate.
    1. Having the eyes of the world staring at you from age 15 and exceeding the hype.
    2. Wearing #23 knowing people will compare.
    3. Carrying the hopes of a city, a state and now a country and still look like you’re having a good time.
    4. Averaging 30/8/7 and still be not feel like the job is done or that potential is reached.
    5. Knowing that being one of the best players in the world now isn’t good enough, G.O.A.T. is the only way for true success.
    6. To understand that power and finesse are both needed to succeed in basketball.
    7. The way he chews his fingers off during games shows that he still is human.
    8. In arguably the biggest game in many years (USA/CHINA) he played the best team game on both sides of the floor.
    9. For telling your own Mother to sit her ass down because the game is more important than talk.
    10. For taking a team that would of gone 22-60 without you to the NBA finals.

Lebron shows passion by leading his country to gold in the olympics. He shows passion by being a team player, and having great attitude. He goes out everygame and puts on quiet a show and plays everygame like its his last. He hustles from beggining to end, he helps people how to get better and gives advice to others and takes advice from others. Thats passion. He is also a francise palyer and lets Cleveland believe in him. Most people like to relate him to the next Jordan,or Barkley. he is a team player and a true big baller. Shoe Size 11

LeBron’s got a heart to love and a head to think and a body to move and balls to the brink. He’s got jump in his jive, more pump in his flies, more push-and-pull in the palm of his hand than You Know Who, L.A.’s skinny man. His life’s defined, his game’s refined, the man divine.

  • Anton

Passion is a word that has become synonymous with Lebron James. The raw blend of undeniable talent, instincts, and pure enthusiasm fuel James throughout his impressive and escalating career.
When he makes the first notions of his trademark drive, opponents brace themselves for a 240-pound train. Not that they can stop him. Defence collapses, enemies swarming him left and right yet the phenom still manages to score, leaving them in the smoke – heavy with emotion. But it is much more than that. It is a headgame where Lebron analyzes the situation, brilliantly ball-handling until the time is near. When a drive to the hoop is detrimental, James backs off a few steps and drains a deep 3-pointer, wide open simply because his opponents deemed the long shot impossible. On the defensive end, James makes easy lay-ups for his opponents nearly unachievable, using his large reach to pin the basketball for a quick conversion, or to block it like a dagger to the heart.
His intensity has reached a new level as exemplified in recent Olympic play. With blood pumping through his veins on a fast break, Lebron’s intelligence is that of a chess master – knowing his opponents’ moves before they make them. His adopted selfless play means the confidence that he, and consequently his country, will score on this possession. Matched up against any international foe, James can drive just as well – or collapse the defence and quickly pass it to various open players as a result of his careful planning and flawless execution.
The man remains passionate in the slow moments of free throw shooting as well, rallying his teammates – boldly declaring their mission and re-energizing their spirits.
This combination assembles an aura of a champion – one whose sheer enthusiasm shall be released upon enemies marching to King James’ castle.

    May God help them all.

yo some of ya’ll are just talking about what he does on the court and not his passion tho

When associating Lebron James with passion, I think of three C’s.
The first is confidence. He has represented this by coming straight out of high school, guaranteeing gold for the US and always believing and ultimately getting the best of his situation.
The second C is class. His emotion stays real during the game, doesnt overdramatize a bad call or a celebration. His charity off the court is about active lifestyles and not promoting himself. He truly cares about the image of the game and himself.
The last C is the one on his jersey. He knows the responsibility and more than fulfills it. His knowledge of when to take the shot or look for the open man is among the greats. He takes the responsibility for losses but not wins. We witness his never die attitude for 48 minutes whether hes leading his team on the court or from the bench.
Lebron James is my favourite player because of both his skill and more importantly, the way he plays the game. The passion he possesses is undeniable and unmatched. size 9.5

Lebron shows passion for the game, it runs through everybody. When you see a guy with that much passion and wants to win and he wants to win that bad it rubs off on the team. There’s nobody on his level that gets his teammates involved the way he does.He sees the plays coming before they even happen. I don’t think any other player sees that. That’s just instinct, that’s God-given talent.

LeBron James is best known as the youthful superstar of the Clevland Cavaliers. But his passion shows the he is buisness savvy and plans out his money. H has invested and partnered with only the strongest buisnesses and companies. He never forgets where he came from. HE will always be the same person he was when he popped right out of Gloria James on December 30th, 1984 He trusts his buisness with childhood friends and aquaintences. His passion has driven him to promote his name and basketball all over the world. (Especially in this past Olympics where he, in incredible fashion, won gold.) He has devoloped incredible leadership even at such a young age from leading his NBA team to the Finals on his BACK. Lebron is grown beyond his years, he was the LEADER of the olympic team despite being one the youngest players on the team. His passion lead to 30/7/8 for career averages. LeBron’s passion is best described in his own words To all the positions, I just bring the determination to win. Me being an unselfish player, I think that can carry on to my teammates. When you have one of the best players on the court being unselfish, I think that transfers to the other players.

Lebron showed passion the minute he picked up a basketball. He showed passion when he was in High School, showing the NBA scouts what he could bring to the NBA, with his insane dunks and explosion on the high school court. Lebron showed passion when he took the steps that led to shaking David Stern’s hand, on Draft night in 2003. He showed passion his rookie season, when he had to learn what the NBA life was all about, being patient and understanding when his Cleveland Cavaliers struggled at times. His passion grew as he became the face of the NBA, playing night in and night out, becoming stronger and more mature on the basketball court. He shined most in the 2007 playoffs, when he lead his team past the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference finals with his heroic Game 5 performance, bringing his team back in the 4th quarter. He showed passion when he lost to the Spurs in the Finals. When everybody was down he was still focused on becoming the best. Most recently Lebron has showed passion by taking his summer and focusing it on basketball over in Beijing and winning gold for his country, the United States. With an NBA rookie of the Year Award, 4 All Star appearances, 2 All Star MVP Awards, 1 NBA Final appearance, a Gold medal finish in the Olympics, and Millions of fans watching you everytime you are on the court, how much more passionate can Lebron James get? Lebron is the true definition of passion for the game, even as a rookie he has shown more heart, leadership, and enthusiasm for the sport. He dedicates his full body and soul to the game on & off the court. Standing behind his hometown & USA he proves to have the love to share his talent and his passion with everyone he comes in contact with. Always showing up on the court better than the year before, he shows what dedication he has for his team, fans, and the sport in general. Anyone who watched the 2008 playoff series against Boston, knows how much passion this phenomenom, known as LeBron James has for the sport of Basketball.
The way he carried his team to seven games, against the eventual N.B.A. champs, was simply ridiculous.
Lebron was constantly double and triple teamed by the best defensive unit in the N.B.A., but not once did he back downWhen his mom came into the game to break up a fight, he abruptly told her to sit down. This shows that once he gets into the game, he puts winning ahead of everything else in his life, including his family.
The way he drove fearlessly to the basket against the D.P.O.Y. Kevin Garnett, shows that he is willing to risk his health and safety to get two points for his team.
Once LeBron steps onto that hardwood his passion is undeniable, and his one and only goal, is to get another W for his team.

  • WOOOZE

Anyone who watched the N.B.A. playoff series between the Cavs and Celtics, witnessed just how much passion, the phenomenon that is LeBron James, has for the game of basketball.
LBJ carried his team through a seven game series against the eventual N.B.A. champs, whilst gaining the respect of those basketball fans all over the world, who were lucky enough to witness King LeBron at the peak of his game.
LeBron was constantly double and triple teamed each and every game that series, by the best defensive unit in the N.B.A., but they simply could not stop him.
LBJ swatted the defenders away like flies, no matter how good and how many of them stood between him and the hoop.
The way he persistently drove at the D.P.O.Y. Kevin Garnett, was simply awe-inspiring. He did so with no visible fear in his body, and risked serious injury, just to get 2 more points for his team.
Once out there on that floor, LeBron’s one and only goal is to get another W for his team.
When his mother stepped on court to argue with Paul Pierce, in game 4 of the series, LeBron abruptly told her to sit down. This showed that LeBron’s passion for this game is so strong, that once he steps onto that hardwood, all things come second to basketball, including his family.
LeBron nearly beat the current N.B.A. champions almost single-handedly during that epic series, which is just an amazing accomplishment in itself.
Not once did LBJ back down against the Celts. Even when seemingly down-and-out, his passion prevailed and he continued to fight to the end, like the warrior that he is.
Although the Cavs didn’t win that playoff series, I felt privileged to have witnessed the ridiculous amount of raw passion and love, LeBron James has for the sport of basketball.

LeBron James is a soldier in every sense of the word, much like his shoe. He shows passion in everything that he does, no matter if it’s practing, playing in an NBA game, or training for the Olympics. LeBron shows unbelieveable dedication on and off the court, and his game has shown this. “King” James once known as an up-and-coming star has truly lived up to his hype unlike many of his competitors. He has matured into one the games most outstanding players, and is thought of by many as one of the best to ever play. His passion inspires millions of people in the United States as well as across the globe. It is passion that is keeping the NBA alive. As long as there are players with the passion that LeBron has, the NBA will be everlasting.

When I first saw Lebron play basketball, I had one thought running through my mind; the guy was made to play basketball. He comes out of high school, changes the face of the Cleveland Cavaliers and continues to make a huge impact on the NBA. This guy’s amazing. But to do what he does, you HAVE to have passion for the game or he won’t be the same Lebron. Another thing that stuck out was how he always tries to involve his teammates…to the point where he would give up taking the las shot even if it causes them to lose. As long as the possibility isn’t 0% he continues to trust himself, his teammates and the whole Cleveland organization. He’s still young (a year older than me) so he’s still got many records to re-write. All the best to Lebron and the rest of Team USA in recapturing the Gold. size 10

Lebron james does not just play with passion, he is passion. when you look in the dictionary and you look up passion, you would see a pic of lebron. When lebron goes out on the court you know he’s gonna bring 100% passion and he will throw himself into the game, hustling, diving after loose balls, carrying and leading his team. Then, he made a 3 year comitment and lead team usa to olympic gold. he may not have been the leading scorer but everyone knows he’s the leader that played a huge role in winning. Not only is he passionate on court, but offcourt he is passionate by running camps on his time, and garanteeing gold to pump up his teamates. Also, he wears passion. The passion that Lebron shows can only truly be appreciated by a fellow baller. The average fan can admire the talent and physical abilities but to truly understand how the sheer love of the game is an on the job adventure. The passion that a student of the ballers way of life is that of unsatisfaction. Knowing that with every pinacle that you achieve, there are always other ways to improve. Realizing that a non-stop working class attitude is what makes a real dedicated person sucessful and that has nothing to do with money. Real, honest passion is never fading and always worn on your sleeve like a tattoo. Which is why so many players wear symbols of ones greatest passions. Lebron does this. The pure passion an orchestra conductor shows in making sure he gets the most and best from his musicians is the same that King James exhibits. The love and respect for not only the game is what drives players to become students of the way of life called basketball. Striving past your own limitations and expectations at all cost is the real definition of passion. Challenge me; Doubt me; Underestemate me- and fear the storm you have summoned. How has lebron showed passion for the game of basketball you say, look no futher than want he has his eyes on. Lebron James wants to become the number one icon for basketball. How do you say this is passion for basketball. Its simple by becoming a world icon he would become the main person people all over the world will love to become or become better (like his ads state). By trying to become the global icon Lebron James is ready to take all the bad criticism that people have to say about his game. He understands that where his game is right now is nothing compare to where he wants to be. He wants to represent baskestball to his fullest and the only way he knows he will be able to do this is by becoming the best player in the worlsd someday and giving an inspiration to the billion of kids in the world.

i see the passion Lebron James has most remarkably in the way he interacts with his team mates. Although, he is young he is the team captain of that team. I mean he has veterens on his own team looking to him for advice, affirmation & sometimes even swagger. Lebron primarily has a young team, but the passion/respect he has for the game will not let him allow his team mates to use that as an excuse. Here are some prime examples:
    Lebron & Daniel Gibson:
He has helped this kid tremendously with his confidence & swagger. I mean boobie is nice & all but its the confidence & pride that lebron instills in him that brings it all together.(mind you i’m not saying he couldn’t do this on his own. but some help from king james never hurts) Lebron & Drew Gooden:
Lebron tried his hardest to get this guy to be stronger, not only physically but mentally as well. He did this by always staying on his case & chastizing him when necessary. Now some may think this was wrong. But to me, it shows the passion Lebron has. Michael Jordan knew for a fact Bill freaking Wennington was not a superstar but he stayed on Bill at all times, never letting up. And that helped Bill be a better bball player. Lebron’s passion can be explained many ways, but to me, this is the best. size 10

Passion. Lebron has passion for the game. Look at his situation in Cleveland; wally-world, big z, and drew gooden. Not bad, but for a good playoff team, one wonders how that can be. One man : Bron. He goes out every night with energy, and love for the game. every second of every min. he’s out there giving 110%. He could go to a better team and win a title no doubt, but no, he stays loyalk to his team and to the game. He doesn’t care about the money, the stardom, the fame. he cares about his team and leading them to victory, passion for the game. He had to work since he was young to get where he’s at. No father, just his mom and him. He put in long hours even over the summer to up his game, for the game. He’s dedicated. When his team fails, he blames himself. He has the world on his shoulders. He fought all the hype in high school, and led his team to new hights. Then he made the ‘impossible ” jump, going to the L at 18. he didn’t do it for attention, merely for the game, to give it his all. Some rookies come out and try to do ok their first game. Bron came out and exploded for 25. His first playoff game he tore it up with a tridle d. The man loves the game and will do anything for it. he’s made the game better. people think, oh he hasn’t won a title yet, there is so much hate. But bron ignores it, he does it for the game. When team USA lost in 04, Bron was upset and blamed himself. he promised to help the team to gold. Look now, USA wins gold, led by the man himself. Deffense has not always been Bron’s best skill, but he stepped it up in China to win the gold. He went all out every game. he did it for the game. God gave this man a talent and he uses it. Even when he had the flu, he played and despite free throw misses and chants from fans, he fought through and had a great game, only to be rushed to the hospitol following the game. No matter where, when, what team. you will see bron dripping in sweat, heart pounding like a lion, flare in his eyes, running like a gazelle despite his tiredness, all to show his passion for the game.

Bron-Bron shows his passion by playing like a soldier.Always leaving it on the court, never giving up.Playing like its game 7 ,every game matters to him which you can’t say about all players. He visually shows his passion everytime he dunks,or with a key and 1.He also is a team player he takes the blame for TEAM loses even if he scores 50.You’ll never hear Lebron complain about injuries,as long as he can run he’ll play. That’s how much he loves the game. That’s why like the shoes he’s a soldier,I sulute to.

  • Daniel Phillips

You can see it in his eyes when he takes the court and throws his powder he is ready to go out there and leave it all on the floor. Even when he is winded he puts his team first and continues to play. All you have to do is watch when he gallops down the court ready to slam that ball or dump it off to one of his teammates. Passion runs deep in his veins like a swift river and he explodes on the court in a 48 minute burst. You can see that it is his life what he has been waiting his life for and that my friends is PASSION at its finest!

  • Browny

He is always willing to put on a show no matter if his team is down or in front does the job of rebounding and he can score the jumper . . . .he does every1s job coz he wants to win and will neva rest till the name Lebron James in more Famous than Micheal Jordan
( im from Australia n over here the only basketballer any1 knows is Kobe Bryant or Jordan) – Size : 10
