  • Lil' Nello Posted: Feb.9 at 5:20 pm
Yea I agree the ones from Vegas in 07 where my favorites! They where in a very dope location like Vegas so they know they needed to step it up big time & did!

  • NDP Posted: Feb.9 at 5:21 pm
Absolutely the San Antonio ’96 Chili Pepper jersey. Those captured the essence of 90′s cartoon graphic jerseys entirely.

I love this years jerseys. Mainly because I am a Texan, everyone knows how prideful we can be, so seeing that state outline incorporated into the jerseys made my decision. Also, I am somewhat of a sneaker head and this years crop of Nike all star editions are maybe better than they have ever been.

You can never go wrong with the 2003 “1980s All-Star Game” throwback. This was, of course, a tribute to Michael Jordan in his last (we think, at least) season in 2002-2003, but also a great way to bring back the classics.

  • Rick Posted: Feb.9 at 5:28 pm
The best uniform ever was the “jalapeno” from 96. The aqua and orange for the east made it truly a one of a kind. Plus they went well with the white and carolina XI’s

i like when the players wear their team jerseys

  • Dirtybird Posted: Feb.9 at 5:31 pm
    Atlanta 2003

  • Joe Posted: Feb.9 at 5:40 pm
In spirt of the saints winning the superbowl sunday, im going with the 2008 jerseys. Also, they looked cool.

  • frank Posted: Feb.9 at 5:46 pm
new orleans. it looked like there were 4 teams on the court.which was bad, but at least memorable.

  • JayChau Posted: Feb.9 at 5:48 pm
Things are best, when they are put in simple, yet catchy fashion. In 2003, the uniforms were not overly done, yet did not underachieve. Hey, it doesn’t hurt to have MJ wearing that for his last ASG.

I really liked the New Orleans All Star jerseys from 2008. Loved the color and the font that they used for the Conference logos. It was very distinct and I thought that it represented New Orleans well.

I love the 1995 Phoenix jerseys!!

  • colinpeterson123 Posted: Feb.9 at 5:59 pm
I gotta say the San Antonio ‘96 Chili Pepper jersey. so fresh.

  • reva skie Posted: Feb.9 at 6:37 pm
I liked the 07 unis with the net action down the sides.

  • celtics Posted: Feb.9 at 6:53 pm
the best uniforms would have to be last years one with the dark blue jersey with white lettering outlined by blue.

  • Ball For Life Posted: Feb.9 at 6:55 pm
I really enjoyed the 2008 Nba all star- jerseys. They brought a whole different bide to the all star game. In the front they were one color, and in the back they were a different. The font that was used was also really well designed. I loved this jersey overall, and have one of it myself. I loved watching that all star game in New Orleans! It was awesome!

  • KoyoH Posted: Feb.9 at 6:55 pm
I love the 86 jersey’s. Classic stuff. Perfect design, never gets better

’96 chili peppers in in San Antonio…definitely the best! Who coulda thunk cyan could look so good…

  • kaboom Posted: Feb.9 at 7:30 pm
To me, the 2003 jerseys are my favorite. They were a throwback to the old days and it was kind of symbolic in a sense, as it was Jordan’s last game and he was passing the torch to the next generation of players. Best of all, when I see these jerseys, I remember how great the game was: a double OT game, with Jordan almost hitting a game winner. And who can forget Mariah Carey singing in the halftime show in that custom MJ dress (if you can call it that).

  • rainman10 Posted: Feb.9 at 7:48 pm
The 1997 uniforms. This game was memorable, not only did a player off the bench (Glen Rice) win MVP, but that dude Michael Jordan did his own thing and recorded the first ever all-star game triple double. Kevin Garnett, still “The Kid” made his all-star debut. Just a great game, great jerseys, and great sub-plots.

  • Logues Posted: Feb.9 at 8:09 pm
i like when they were their own unis, then u got all them different colors out there

  • Ian Posted: Feb.9 at 9:26 pm
The uniforms in New Orleans were pretty cool. I’m not old enough to remember any before the early ones of the past decade, but I looked them up, and they were boring anyway. The part I liked about the jerseys in 08 was that the front and back were two different colors.

1987-1988 they might not have looked special but that one guy who was wearing it made me care less bam 40 points 8 rebounds 4 stls 4 blks, 3 asts all in only 29 minutes with 73% shooting who else? Michael Jordan

  • Iman Elbanna Posted: Feb.9 at 11:11 pm
My favorite uniform from the past is definitely the New Orleans ones. The colors and logo just screamed Bourbon Street and the fun Mardi Gras atmosphere. Not to mention the trumpets all around reminding you of the smooth jazz sound that makes New Orleans such a great city!

  • LeoneL Posted: Feb.9 at 11:17 pm
Some people may not like the All-Star uni for the Nawlins game, but those were my fave all-star jerseys in the past decade simply because it’s confusing for the referees. LOL

I will have to go mid-school – I always loved the early 90′s era jersey with the number in the middle of the shiny star on the chest, just because of the memories it brought back – Young Shaq, MJ in the first stage of his prime, Magic in his farewell, Stockton to Malone, Ewing with the flattop and white kneepads. It was classic blue for the road team (West in 1992, East in 1993 & 1994) and white for the home team. The blues clashed perfectly with the red kicks Pip wore to win the ’94 MVP.

the Las Vegas all star jerseys of 2007 have kept their crown on being the best all star jerseys thanks to their hybrid of ‘old school/new school’ style. although the east jersey would of been better with white/blue instead of silver/blue, the west jersey combined classic adidas style with elements of Las Vegas e.g. the diamonds, the cursive writing and mashed it together with a simple, yet timeless colourway(excuse me of my ‘typo’ for I’m Australian) What really hit it off for me was the inclusion of the adidas stripes on the side. the 3 defining black lines contrasting with the red/white showed that all-star jerseys could repeat history as actually looking fresh and being bought by fans for their style, not their player value(think back to 1980 all star jersey). for now, 2007 reins supreme as the favorite.

Everyone playing in their own teams’ jerseys. Rep ya hood!

  • Dan Ilika Posted: Feb.10 at 8:25 am
To be honest, this year’s Dallas uniforms are nice. Clean lines and colours (that’s right, coloUrs), solid Dallas references and solid warmups.

  • AlbertBarr Posted: Feb.10 at 10:05 am
@royy: Yes, SLAM actually sends out prizes to winners. You just never happen to be one.

  • AlbertBarr Posted: Feb.10 at 10:12 am
I have to say this year’s Jersey is also fresh. I think the best part is the Texas logo: not many states are iconic enough in shape to pull that off. Add in the ultra-modern Mavs typography, some classic red, white and blue a dash of Cowboys stadium and you have the makings for some memorable moments in some memorable threads.

My favorite ALL-Star jerseys are just the plain old jerseys from the original teams. I used to love seeing all of the different jerseys on the court at the same time as each player wore their original team jersey. Of course the NBA didn’t like that because they are money hungry and they only wanted to make ALL STAR jersey so that fans will spend more money on new jerseys. What a shame. I guess cash runs everything around the NBA. Dolla Dolla Bill yall!!

  • the_baller20 Posted: Feb.10 at 2:45 pm
My fav jerseys where from the ’08 all-star game in New Orleans they where fresh and had a nice vibe to them.

  • niQ Posted: Feb.10 at 3:34 pm
Michael Jordan’s rookie allstar game jersey! Those were the dopest Jerseys EVER. Hands down. I hear they’re retro-ing them soon. Would LOVE to get my hands on one of those!
