    Derrick Rose has been an idol of mine since his years back at Memphis. He always showed alot of power and strength that taught me to become a confident player and always give my best. Now im in 8th grade, been asked to play JV and start, a leader of an AAU team thats pretty successful and a humongous D Rose fan. I also admire his humbleness but no mercy attitude on the court. Hes never getting in trouble off the court and has some of the most explosive and dominant dunks ever seen by a point guard. Its my dream to be not just a player or and athlete like D Rose, but a person.

    I have been a huge Derrick Rose fan since i discovered him as a freshman at Memphis. Hes one of the best ive seen. Hes inspired me to play to my best ability because you can always see in his eyes and play he never quits and the words give up arent in his vocabulary. I used his attitude to help me develop as a player. and thats gotten me to being a 8th grader asked to start JV, a leader of a pretty sucessful AAU team, as well as a more aggressive and confident player on the court. Another reason i look up to D Rose is his humbleness, and how he never gets into big trouble off the court and never has a bad attitude as well as his dominant and explosive game play. He continues to have the most amazing and epic dunks a point guard can do. He shows no mercy and really makes me want to be just like him. So in the long run i dnt just want to be a athlete and player like D Rose but also a person.
