    This isn’t the best feauture on SLAM or SLAMOnline, but true SLAM heads will know Sam been down for a LONG time now.
    Former SLAM Online editor, among other things.
    He’s now primarily a 9th grade teacher and probably only does this out of love for SLAM.
    So y’all chill out on the hate.

    Enigmatic: I know well who Sam is, and I think he’s a ridiculously great writer. I also don’t mind this showing up on the magazine, because it does fill space and adds a nice pop-culture twist to the issue.
    But it’s really just not that great. I’m sure it takes Sam five minutes to write up and many times, it’s downright silly but done simply because it’s been going on for so long.
    The same way I’ve given Sam respect as a writer (and as a teacher, LOVE that Woj homework assignment), I’m gonna give him my opinion when the stuff is just subpar.

    Agree with the ‘hate’, Sam is no doubt a good writer. But the ‘Which NBA Player Are You?’ section is easily the worst part of the magazine and doesn’t do Sam’s writing skills justice.
