Sam, for real? Monta is a dead ringer(or close to it) for Buckshot. C’mon son!
All Day
@Fat Lever: I think Sam is attempting to draw parallels based on personalities, life experiences, and stature…not physical resemblances.

That’s seriously an insult to Monta Ellis….Prodigy….”Face on Summer Jam screen” Prodigy? Punched by Saigon Prodigy? Punched by Keith Murray Prodigy? “Dont one of you ni**as got sickle cell” Prodigy? C’mon son
Fat Lever
All Day, true, but you could really make the parallels for anyone, if you really wanted to. I was just saying that, to me, the only way I’d be able to tell the difference between Monta and Buckshot was if Monta started rapping.

Slightly unrelated, but Havoc was that dude.
I miss his Infamous/Hell on Earth-era beats.

And Kevin, Pee was a top 5 MC in hip-hop from 95-2000, regardless of coast. Don’t get it twisted. If he didn’t change his flow up, he could have gone down as an all-time great.

I always thought he was an average, Mobb Deep and the whole 90′s East Coast sound was overrated to me. I came up on Southern and West Coast rap

That’s the same way I feel about Southern rap in general. There’s always a few exceptions but for the most part I feel like my IQ drops a bit every time I hear a lot of that stuff…Anyways, I like the Monta/P comparisons.m nice job Slam.

mobb deep was one of my top 5 groups/rappers until they released Amerikaz Nightmare….they went downhill at 200 mph after that.
