BREAKING: Jason Kidd to Dallas

by Lang Whitaker

Not much confirmed at the minute, but according to ESPN, the Nets and Mavs have basically agreed on a deal to send JKidd to Dallas. The Nets get Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, Sagana Diop, Maurice Ager and Devean George, while the Mavs get Kidd and Malik Allen. Developing…

    hooooly crap
what are the mavs thinking?! :O

  • wedemhornets Posted: Feb.13 at 4:10 pm
    thats such a dumb trade..6 for 2…blah

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:12 pm
What’s with all the old guys getting traded this year? Someone sign me to a 10-day, quick! And please, PLEASE, let someone claim Stack off waivers if he gets cut. I’ll be pissed if Dallas gets him back.

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:12 pm
    I’m lovin these CRAZY trades…

  • MK PETRIK Posted: Feb.13 at 4:13 pm
So who takes Kidd’s place in the starting line up of the All-Star game?

  • method526 Posted: Feb.13 at 4:13 pm
that’s an interesting trade. jkidd back to his first team!

  • peteb80 Posted: Feb.13 at 4:14 pm
    Jesus F Christ.

  • Dark Posted: Feb.13 at 4:14 pm
I love JKidd, but that is a lot to give up . . .

  • Jim Mora Posted: Feb.13 at 4:15 pm
    this is soooooooooooo stupid
so far i liked the mavs’ chances

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:16 pm
Kidd should still play for the East in the All-Star game, IMO. Not sure what the official ruling will be, but he’s played well over half the season in the East.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:17 pm
Teams that could use Stack: Boston, Detroit, Orlando, Cleveland, SA, PHX, Utah, ah hell, any team in playoff contention really.

  • speedy Posted: Feb.13 at 4:17 pm
All teams are now packed with stars .
I can’t wait till the playoffs ( in the West ) begin.

  • tenorca Posted: Feb.13 at 4:18 pm
So…Dallas is gonna have essentially one option in the middle: Dampier. This is not a recipe for a championship. Maybe they can pry Kwame or Darko from Memphis’s cold, lifeless clutches.

  • white hot eboy Posted: Feb.13 at 4:18 pm
Who’s the center’s now for Dallas. Dampier and who?

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:18 pm
I heard that if Kidd gets traded out West, he will start there over Ivy and the East would get to add a 13th player as well.

  • albie1kenobi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:19 pm
they should just hold off the trade until after the all star game.
wait, has a trade ever happened DURING allstar game? it’d be awesome to see kidd switch jersey mid way through the game.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:19 pm
    Diop, for now.

  • peteb80 Posted: Feb.13 at 4:21 pm
    Unthrowback my Kidd jersey!

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:22 pm
Kidd starting for the West sucks. It would be like Jordan being enshrined in the Hall of Fame as a Wizard because that’s the last team he played for. Will he have even PLAYED a game in the West before the All-Star game? And that’s even worse for Iverson. If that’s true, he should skip the whole weekend and go to Cabo with Sheed. Sometimes I really hate the NBA.

  • Candice Posted: Feb.13 at 4:23 pm
    I hope it’s not true.

  • Jay Davis Posted: Feb.13 at 4:24 pm
Order of Power in the West 1. S.A. (The Champs are the champs until somebody takes the crown)
    2. L.A.L.
    3. Phoenix
    4. Dallas (Kidd makes them better, but Dirk’s too soft for my taste
    5. Utah
    6. Houston
    7. N.O.
    8. GSW

  • phil Posted: Feb.13 at 4:24 pm
Dallas sold their future for a shot at a title they have no chance winning. It’s a damn shame.

  • albie1kenobi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:25 pm
i always thought mavs and kidd together would be the best scenario for both parties (kidd’s leadership and versatility will instantly make the mavs a very legit contender), though i thought the nets would be able to pry josh howard off mavs.
i wonder what popovich is gonna say this time.

  • blackice87 Posted: Feb.13 at 4:25 pm
the all-star weekend is not the biggest issue with this trade….why trade for stack just to cut him….as a raptors fan i hope it happens just so karmic realginment is reset

  • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Feb.13 at 4:26 pm
If Kidd gets to start for the West I will be pissed. Just so happy this stupid trade is over. Now, if things don’t go well, I don’t want to hear a peep out of either Kidd or Dirk. I’m looking forward to watching Kidd play with Josh Howard, though.

  • Allenp Posted: Feb.13 at 4:26 pm
Bass can do most of the things Diop does and he’s a better scorer. But, who is the main bench scorer with Stackhouse gone? And if you bring Terry of the bench, who is the starting two? I don’t like this trade.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:27 pm
    phil is smart.

  • blackice87 Posted: Feb.13 at 4:28 pm
and the fact that jay’s list doesn’t include denver just shows that the west is scary stacked

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:28 pm
Also, hope Mark Cuban is smiling while giving Kidd that $20 million one-year extension. But Nash was too old to keep around, right? I love it. Hope they fail miserably.

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:29 pm
Jay D have you watched the NBA all this season…?Or CP3 for that matter…You gotta move N.O. to number five spot.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:31 pm
The Nets should keep Stackhouse and dump Carter. I’m at least half serious.

  • Cheryl Posted: Feb.13 at 4:31 pm
The playoffs in the east won’t even be worth watching until the ECFs. Man. Not that NJ was going anyway, but still… I REALLY hope Cleveland can pick up Stack.

  • albie1kenobi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:32 pm
    Russ is pissed off.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:32 pm
This also tells me the Nets do not have any faith in Marcus Williams. Wasn’t he suppose to be the heir apparent at the point for NJ?

  • tenorca Posted: Feb.13 at 4:32 pm
Allenp: Good call. I forgot about Bass. The Bay Area would appreciate you trading him for Pietrus.

  • Cheryl Posted: Feb.13 at 4:32 pm
Has there been a more unpredictable season since… I don’t even know since.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:34 pm
Funny thing is, I can only say the Lakers got better from their trade. Shaq and Kidd are still questionable deals.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:35 pm
    Somewhere, LeBron is cussing.

  • Dizzle Posted: Feb.13 at 4:36 pm
Huh?????? I guess it’s all about trying to win it all this season no matter what and do stupid things just b/c other teams did stuff. Will this make Dallas better? Maybe just b/c JKidd is JKidd. But does it make them better in the long run? NO. Basically they’re trading their chances to win a championship or two over the next 5-6 years for their chance to win one now. Wow, Cuban is back to his old ways.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:37 pm
I’m not pissed off. I just think it’s funny that Cuban ditched Nash for being too old, then traded six guys for a guy that’s even older. Lots of teams going all-in this year–and there can only be one champion. The Mavs, the Suns, the Lakers, the Celtics. They all absolutely HAVE to win at least one title in the next three years after what they’ve done. And that’s leaving out the Pistons and Spurs, who also have to win titles in that time frame. And the Knicks, of course. Gonna be a lot of disappointment and pink slips.

  • riggs Posted: Feb.13 at 4:38 pm
MY FAVORITE PLAYER GOING TO THE TEAM I HATE?——————————————– DARTH VADER: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 4:38 pm
Ok, so here comes a rant….WTF CUBAN?!!! i mean, really? you trade two glue guys, who hustle, and give a perceived soft team the only aggressive edge it has to Jersey for ASON? You had to pull off your patented panic trade move, didn’t ya Marc? Gasol and Shaq come to town, so let’s counter that with ASON? Remember when Cubes(say it like Pubes everybody) refused to get Nash a 60 million Dollar contract just a few short seasons ago, cause well… he wasn’t sure he could keep playing at a high level? (how does 3 MVP type Seasons in a row sound now Marc?) So now Kidd is the solution? Trade away the 2nd or 3rd fastest NBA PG for a great passer, i’ll give him that, who’s defense is in decline? So who’s gonna guard Amare/Shaq/The robot/Gasol/Chandler? Dirk (and expect 22 Points out of him, c’mon) or that sissy Dampier. Great job Cubes, grrreat!

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:38 pm
    Hell, and the Cavs.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:39 pm
    And the Nuggets.

  • Captain America Posted: Feb.13 at 4:39 pm
Short term gain for long term pain, typical Mark Cuban — impulsive as hell.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 4:40 pm
And here i was thinking Cubes had learned from his past mistakes and decided to take a page out of the Dumars/Popovic book…..keep your core intact. thanks for messing up my day Cubes.

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:40 pm
Check this out ttp://www.nba.com/mavericks/kids/MavsKidsZone.html Cuban was gonna do this deal anyway…I love Devin’s look on his face…I got traded??Kidd’s ZONE indeed!

  • Candice Posted: Feb.13 at 4:40 pm
How is Golden State and Houston better than Denver Jay?

  • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Feb.13 at 4:40 pm
aren’t phoenix and dallas playing tomorrow night? Will be interesting to see how Nash plays.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:41 pm
Ok, so which Slamonline writer is going to be the first to post a “Kidd to Dallas=Ludicrous” story? My bet is Russ, if he can stop posting about it long enough.

  • Cheryl Posted: Feb.13 at 4:41 pm
Won’t it be funny if we have a repeat of the ’07 Finals–the two teams who did nothing (yet)?

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:43 pm
Dumars is to smart to make impulsive deals Cheryl.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:43 pm
    *too

  • Jay Davis Posted: Feb.13 at 4:43 pm
bigi, I put NO where they are because nobody on that team has played in the playoffs outside of peja and Mo Pete once.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:44 pm
I could totally see a Detroit/San Antonio finals. Although I’d be pretty psyched by Boston/L.A.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 4:44 pm
I feel so sorry for Dirk Werner Nowitzki… this whole reshuffling thing in Dallas sure sucks. Is this official yet? i need to do some voodoo to stop this.

  • white hot eboy Posted: Feb.13 at 4:45 pm
Holy, I was in the process of typing out “tomorrow’s game between the Suns and Mavs would be SO much more interesting if Shaq and Kidd were suited up.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:45 pm
And who on Utah or Houston has been out of the 1st round, Jay D?

  • white hot eboy Posted: Feb.13 at 4:45 pm
    *Holly. Sorry lady.

  • [...] You could argue that Dallas gave up a little bit too much for Kidd, but in today’s NBA, you gotta roll the dice. Well, unless you’re San Antonio of course. More details to come …Seriously, can the Playoffs start like, right now?! var staf_confirmtext = ‘Mail sent’ #stafBlock { position: absolute !important; z-index: 100000; display: none; width: 200px; } #stafForm { background-color:#f60; border: 2px solid #000; padding: 5px; margin:0; } #stafForm h2 { margin:0 0 4px;color:#fff;font-size:12px !important;} #stafForm input,label, h2 {font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; color: #222222; } #stafForm .input_text { width: 90px;margin-bottom: 5px;padding:2px; } #stafForm label { float: left; display: block; width: 75px; line-height: 16px; } #stafForm .input_submit {color:#fff;padding:0 5px;} #stafClose { float: right; margin-right: 5px; } x [...]

  • riggs Posted: Feb.13 at 4:46 pm
i feel like punching dirks face.

  • Jay Davis Posted: Feb.13 at 4:46 pm
Candice, Denver hasn’t gotten out of the first round of the playoffs yet. Yea, I know the Rockets haven’t either, but I like the mix of players in Houston better than the mix in Denver, especially if they pull that Artest deal. Too many alpha dog personalities. And weren’t they supposed to own the West once A.I. got to town?

  • maio Posted: Feb.13 at 4:46 pm
    Not DeSagana…come on.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:46 pm
Um, TAD? The Jazz were in the Western Conference Finals LAST YEAR.

  • Slick Nick Da Ruler Posted: Feb.13 at 4:47 pm
The NBA: where ” Im All In” happens

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:47 pm
Sh*t! Dammit Russ (goes hides behind a rock).

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:47 pm
    B.Jackson,Pargo…

  • albie1kenobi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:47 pm
that is indeed a nice thought Cheryl. it’s like everyone decided to go all in. besides the gasol robbery, these two are panic moves. well, having shaq to plug the middle (suns’ weakest spot) makes certain sense, though of course we can’t really count on shaq. having kidd address dallas’ lack of toughness and leadership makes sense too, just not when they loose half the team. i’m with TADone on his trade analysis.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:48 pm
Darksaber: no voodoo necessary. It has been finalized.

  • Jay Davis Posted: Feb.13 at 4:48 pm
TadOne: Um…Utah was in the WCF last spring. I know Houston hasn’t gotten out of the first yet, but I’d bank on them doing it before Denver. The Nuggets needs to amp up their defense. You can only win 120-116 in the playoffs if you’re the one or two seed, or the Warriors last year.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 4:49 pm
He couldn’t get rid of Damp (he sure plays like a damp cloth) and Eddie Jones contracts? He had to give up Devin, DeSagana and STACK? Bloody hell! Stack scares like 80% of Nba players because of his upbringing, background and lifestory, the man took it to Shaq after an errant elbow for chrissake!! you had to let Stackhouse go, Cubes? Bloody hell

  • Candice Posted: Feb.13 at 4:49 pm
I didn’t think they were going to own the West but being 13 games over .500 isn’t so bad. They are only 1/2 game out of being first in their divison and 3 1/2 from being first overall. I think your selling them short especially to Houston and Golden State.

  • Captain America Posted: Feb.13 at 4:49 pm
I admire Kidd’s game but I don’t respect his s/it attitude. He gave up on his Net team mates IMHO.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:50 pm
Yeah, sorry Jay. Russ already scolded me. Have I mentioned this has been a long week for me? (And its only Wednesday :( )

  • Jay Davis Posted: Feb.13 at 4:50 pm
Bigi, I forgot about those two, but B Jax’s last meaningful playoff game was 6 years ago and when was the last time Jannero Pargo played significant minutes in the playoffs or any other time?

  • riggs Posted: Feb.13 at 4:50 pm
before or after his teammates gave up on themselves cap?

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:51 pm
    R.I.P. Vince Carter.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:51 pm
I’m glad to see the Bulls have at least been involved in all these trade talks. Thank God they have a GM who isn’t afraid to make inquiries whenever a player becomes available. Even if they don’t win it all this year, no one can say that they haven’t made every effort to compete.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 4:51 pm
thanks for the info TadOne, didn’t quite finish the Cuban puppet on time, i shall now go drink out of the toilet… what a horrible trade, horrible

  • Captain America Posted: Feb.13 at 4:52 pm
Darksaber, the word is that Stack will be back as a Maverick in a month and that he was only throw in to make the deal work out. Let’s hope so.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:53 pm
Ironic sarcasm doesn’t escape Russ for 1 minute.

  • albie1kenobi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:53 pm
hahaha. Russ. it’s always fun to read your comments

  • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Feb.13 at 4:54 pm
ahahaahahha and we come back to the Bulls, Russ. I love it.

  • Jay Davis Posted: Feb.13 at 4:54 pm
Here I’m thinking more people would argue about the top half of that list and people are getting on me for the bottom half!!!

  • Candice Posted: Feb.13 at 4:54 pm
Jay if your basing thing’s on defense again how does Golden State and Houston make it? The Nuggets rank high in defensive efficeny per possession and they have rebounding unlike Golden State. I’ll take Denver jsut from the experience of AI compared to McGrady. He has been in the leauge 11 years now and nothing.

  • Jay Davis Posted: Feb.13 at 4:55 pm
Russ, I think the Bulls should hold tight right now and make a run at Brand this summer, assuming he comes back at 100 percent. I know he played their already, but he fills the team’s biggest need and I bet either Gordon or Deng is gone after this year, so Chicago should have the $.

  • Candice Posted: Feb.13 at 4:56 pm
You can’t take off the Spurs, I have questions about Utah but whatever(they have no interior defense),Phoenix let’s see, the Laker’s I guess,Dallas I’ll wait and see there too.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 4:57 pm
It’s just part of the mind boggling situation Captain America (umm, weren’t you shot by some blonde, homie? Marvel resurrected you FAST). DeSagana was overweight in Cleveland, a scrub. Then he worked his butt off after being traded to Dallas, commited himself to the game, the team..now he has to go play with sulky Mcgrumpy Carter in Jersey. And Devin just got hurt, how must THAT feel? 4 Years ago, this Deal is above average, invigorating even. Now? Uggh

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 4:57 pm
Chicago plays New Jersey on the 20th in the swamp. Someone please take away Russ’s press pass before this day.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:58 pm
I’ll say it again: Please, God, let someone else pick up Stackhouse and don’t let the Mavericks get him back for free. If they’re dumb enough to include him in an already ridiculous trade, don’t reward them for it.

  • albie1kenobi Posted: Feb.13 at 4:59 pm
then they can trade for pietrus!

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 4:59 pm
Why would I go to a D-League game?

  • tt Posted: Feb.13 at 5:00 pm
When is Devin Harris returning from his injury?

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 5:00 pm
    1. Spurs
    2. Lakers
    3. Phoenix
    4. Denver
    5. Dallas
    6. N.O.
    7. Utah
    8. Houston

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 5:01 pm
Russ, i second your opinion and join you on that prayer. Please lord, get Stack over to the celtics, at least those guys play with heart now. 6-2 without KG, that’s the spirit.

  • Jay Davis Posted: Feb.13 at 5:01 pm
Candice, I go by the eyeball test. Denver can’t guard. That’s not saying GSW can, but GSW has played deeper into spring than most of Denver has. I just don’t like the mix of players Denver has.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 5:03 pm
Because you want to get a free shot at Paxson.

  • whooo! Posted: Feb.13 at 5:04 pm
russ, you don’t think they talked this through with stack and made sure he’s coming back? why wouldn’t he wanna!? he ain’t carlos boozer (he went to unc). and i’m positive jersey agreed to this.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 5:05 pm
Oh yeah, and Josh Howard has a bruised lower back by the way. Lovely. The team is in the upper echelon of the strongest Division in Basketball and Cubes decides to play scrabble and empty the board…. i HATE this trade. Kidd is awesome, truly inspiring player, but not for 6 Players (2 who are starters)!!

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 5:07 pm
Darksaber must be a Mavs fan.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 5:08 pm
I can’t wait for Dallas to lose in the first round again. I’ll be absolutely amazed if they make the Western Conference Finals.

  • Mitch Posted: Feb.13 at 5:10 pm
This trade is beneficial for both Dallas Mavericks and New Jersey Nets. New Jersey gets 4 expiring contracts, draft picks, cash, and the very talented Devin Harris in the rebuilding phase of the franchise. Dallas on the other hand will receive “the general” of all of floor generals in the NBA. Jason Kidd. Kidds ability to dominate a game with his mere presence takes tons of pressure off of Dallas superstar Dirk Nowitzki.Players like Dampier, Howard, and Terry will also flourish with Kidd around as he is known to elevate his teammates to All Star levels. Just Ask Kenyon Martin…Rod Thorn and Mark Cuban well done job. This takes the game of basketball back to the days of great competition. Both sides come out on top in this one.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 5:11 pm
Mitch: what is your private number? I’m fresh out of that good sh*t.

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 5:12 pm
    Yeah,Mitch…Pass it…

  • Candice Posted: Feb.13 at 5:12 pm
They had Dallas last year and besides Stephen Jackson who else has been deep in the playoff’s? How far has Baron got? AI,Camby, Kenyon, and Najera have been in the playoff’s too. They haven’t had no problems yet ego wise so why keep bringing something up that hasb’t been an issue. They play defense not the best but they do play it.

  • albie1kenobi Posted: Feb.13 at 5:13 pm
not quite sure how to make this “all in” mentality that everyone has. suns’ gamble make a little more sense because suns’ window is closing with nash near the end of career, but mavs? they could still keep the same core for about 5+ years to let them develop (although i’m not sure that team’s make up will ever get them a title). i like dallas as a destination for kidd, but i didn’t think it would/should happen.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 5:15 pm
The Cavs should trade for Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 5:16 pm
And I dont’t know how deep you would accept The Finals…?Camby,Martin,A.I.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 5:16 pm
“Larry Nance and Craig Ehlo are not walking thru that door!”

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 5:17 pm
    *don’t

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 5:17 pm
If AI was good enough to drag the 2001 Sixers to the Finals, you’d think he’d be able to do the same with Melo and Camby. Kenyon’s been to the Finals, too. Twice.

  • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Feb.13 at 5:17 pm
yes yes. I was worried Barkley might have to get drunk to make it through the chicago/miami game tomorrow. He’s going to have LOTS to say about this.

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 5:17 pm
    Russ..Above…

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.13 at 5:19 pm
Charles will probably have to get drunk anyway. That game is going to be awful.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 5:19 pm
    Mitch, puff, puff, pass.

  • TADOne Posted: Feb.13 at 5:24 pm
Could you imagine the Chuckster drunk? Awww man.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 5:25 pm
Isn’t that his normal state of being, what with all the mess coming out of his trap.

  • Bigi Posted: Feb.13 at 5:28 pm
    where amazing trades happen.

  • Darksaber Posted: Feb.13 at 5:35 pm
Ah well, at least we’ll get to see how TJ’s mug has developed over the last few seasons. AND that hottie Kidd’s been schtupping.

  • phil Posted: Feb.13 at 5:57 pm
The NBA, where Dallas killing themselves happens.

  • James Posted: Feb.13 at 6:01 pm
    NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!WE DONT WANT J KIDD!!!!THIS IS A DUMB TRADE!!!!

  • jeremy Posted: Feb.13 at 6:15 pm
I wasnt worried about dallas until now.

  • jeremy Posted: Feb.13 at 6:16 pm
    now im reel afraid

  • Allenp Posted: Feb.13 at 6:47 pm
I was going to write a long post about Jay Davis’s comments on the Nuggets, but everybody took care of that.

  • Dacre Posted: Feb.13 at 7:20 pm
Does Dallas bring back that Hoglington fellow…the ugly “lurch” fellow!!

  • RV Posted: Feb.13 at 10:55 pm
candice, houston is one of the top defensive teams in the league…and better than Denver..As much talent as denver has they should be top 3 in the league, they just aren’t consistent enough and being a few games out of 1st place doesn’t mean much in the tight west.

  • [...] and the TWolves. The Nets slow-played the deconstruction of their once formidable squad. First they dealt Kidd for Devin Harris, and sent away Richard Jefferson for spare parts and the myth of Yi Jianlin. Then the Nets shipped [...]
