Report: Celtics Shopping Gabe Pruitt

Please adjust your lives accordingly:  “Gabe Pruitt has not had many chances to perform when it counts for the Celtics. And Pruitt, who has played 461 minutes in 62 games in two seasons, might not get another opportunity with the team. An NBA source confirmed yesterday the Celtics are attempting to trade Pruitt, whose option deadline is Friday. The Celtics are leaning toward not picking up Pruitt’s option, which would leave the guard free to sign with another team.”

    Celtics won’t have a backup point guard (Eddie House doesn’t count, he can barely bring the ball up past half court), so I don’t understand why they wouldn’t hold on to him.

    Does Pruitt have any business in the league? Boston has been lookin for a back up for Rondo for a while, I thought it would eventually be Pruitt… Guess they’ll just find another guy to bring in halfway through the season. Can you say Bobby Jackson?

    he’s really not that good. lester hudson’s looking like the backup so far if they trade pruitt, but i think they’re looking to trade him for another…better, point guard because starbury marbury over there ain’t comin’ back.
