Joakim Noah to Play in France During NBA Lockout?

Should the lockout engulf the entire NBA season, Joakim Noah says he will re-join the Paris-Levallois squad in France. From Reuters: “Joakim Noah is considering a move to the French League if the NBA season is canceled because of the lockout, the Chicago Bulls center said on Thursday. ‘In my mind, it is out of question that I come and just play a few matches. If I come, it’s for the whole year,’ Noah, who would like to play for childhood team Paris-Levallois, told French sports daily L’Equipe. … Noah would be the seventh French player to come back to his home country after Tony Parker moved from the San Antonio Spurs to Villeurbanne, Ronny Turiaf (New York Knicks to Villeurbanne), Pape Sy (Atlanta Hawks to Gravelines), Nicolas Batum (Portland TrailBlazers to Nancy), Boris Diaw (Charlotte Bobcats to Bordeaux) and Ian Mahinmi (Dallas Mavericks to Le Havre).”

    Pourquoi?

From what I hear, Nicolas Batum is killing it over there.

  • LA Huey

It’d be cool if these guys joined up and barnstormed playing the best clubs in the country.

  • Valentin Faure (from France)

Yeah you’re right “niQ” . Batum is killing it as you said. His team (Nancy) is 6-0 and first in the French League.
It’s a great opportunity for those French team being help by NBA Star. It’s also great for fans to see their favorite players. This is a way for Parker, Batum, Diaw (etc..) to return to roots and thanks France for what it gave us when they were younger before entering the NBA.

Pourquoi ? Je vous réponds: pourquoi pas ?!

I console myself with NCAA season that’s gonna be just amazing ! waiting the come back of NBA .
