The K.I.N.G. Movement will host the second annual Above The Rim Celebrity Hoop Challenge at Mount Vernon High School on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Players include Tobias Harris, Allan Houston, Jadakiss, Wale and more.

Proceeds will support the Eagle Academy Foundation—a NYC-based school system specializing in supporting a network of all-male college preparatory public school students from ages 10-21 in New York’s five boroughs and Newark.

NEW YORK, NY – The K.I.N.G. Movement and Power Is Industry, Inc. proudly present the 2nd annual “K.I.N.G Above the Rim Celebrity Basketball Challenge,” on Sat. May 30, featuring A-list actors, artists and athletes, in support of the Eagle Academy Foundation (EAF). EAF is a NYC-based school system specializing in supporting a network of all male college preparatory public schools education students from ages 10 – 21, with schools in the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and a school in Newark, NJ.

 

Being held at Mount Vernon High School, located at 100 California Rd., Mt. Vernon, NY, doors open at 4:30PM and the game starts at 5:30PM. Entry fee is $12 for children (age 5 & under), $15 for students with ID and $20 for adults.

 

“I am honored and extremely grateful that so many amazing celebrities from the NBA, ESPN, BET, MTV, VH1 and Hot 97.1FM radio personalities are once again coming out to support this great cause – it’s exciting to see this event growing with each year,” said event organizer Ahmed Rodriguez. “It is going to be a great game – a lot of fun – and we hope to raise a ton of money for the Eagle Academy Foundation and The K.I.N.G. Movement and all the great work they do, making a huge difference in the lives of these young men.”
