Savon Goodman Commits to UNLV

Savon Goodman, an athletic 6-6 swingman from Philadelphia, has announced he will attend UNLV in the fall. After rescinding his commitment from Villanova earlier this year, Goodman mulled offers from SMU, Kansas, and N.C. State before deciding on the Rebels, a team with serious firepower heading into next season. From Hoopniks.com:  “On Friday evening, UNLV announced via a release that Goodman has signed a written offer of financial aid, joining a gargantuan and talented recruiting class that coach Dave Rice has amassed during his first recruiting cycle as the head man for the Runnin’ Rebels. Rice said, ‘We are excited about Savon joining our program. He is a winner and brings great energy on every possession. He can guard multiple positions and will be explosive in our transition game. He has a tremendous work ethic and we look forward to his development over the next many seasons.’ Goodman joins top-10 national prospect, power forward Anthony Bennett, top-50 guard Katin Reinhardt, bouncy big man Demetris Morant and guard Daquan Cookin the haul. Additionally, the Rebels have also added talented transfers Khem Birch(Pitt) and Roscoe Smith (UConn) to what is shaping up as one of the nation’s most talented rosters, top to bottom.”
