steph and bassyBassy is not Steph. Steph is not Bassy. Bassy is not Steph. Steph is not Bassy. Bassy is not Steph. Steph is not Bassy.

Now read this. Oh boy. So many cliches, so little time. And how about this quote: “I’ve been doing this so many times, but I feel like this time is a different experience for me. I feel like I’m starting my NBA career right now, going to a new team. With anything new, you start fresh for the good. I just needed a fresh start. I can’t even explain how much.”

Where have we heard that one before?

The good news for Boston is that at least Bassy won’t have to be the best player on the team and face of the franchise. Steph even weighs in with a quote of his own: “The NBA is a thinking man’s game. You’ve got to play the game in your mind. [He has to be] more focused. Last year, he had some distractions because he wasn’t playing.” Good one, Steph. He also might have been distracted by the filming of Guns in Pillows on a Plane.

But I’m sure this will work out great for the Celtics.
