Apparently Chandler Parsons still has some love for his former teammate, James Harden. Asked before Wednesday’s Rockets-Mavericks game about Harden’s current season, and whether The Bearded One should be in this year’s MVP conversation, Parsons had the following to say, via ESPN Dallas.
“For sure. He’s the best player in basketball right now,” Parsons said before his Dallas Mavericks fell 99-94 to Harden’s Houston Rockets on Wednesday night. “The things he’s doing are incredible. The scouting report is focused in on stopping him and you see he’s still getting 30 a game. It’s impressive.”
Harden’s 27.6 points per game is tops in the league. He’s also averaging 5.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists and two steals. He has a player efficiency rating of 27.6, the third highest number in the NBA.
