Yi’s Chinese Team Hates Milwaukee

-The Guangdong Tigers, Yi Jianlian’s Chinese team, do not want him in Milwaukee.

“This is not — as media reports have said — because Milwaukee, as a city with very few Chinese people, is not good for Yi’s commercial development,” team chief Chen Haitao said.

“Rather we want to find a team suitable for Yi’s growth. That’s the root of the problem,” he added.

“The national team and the Olympic Games are now our key considerations … If [Yi] goes to a team where he can’t compete, that would be being irresponsible to the national team,” Chen said.

(My favorite thing about this whole messy situation? That Eazy Yi seemingly isn’t allowed to speak for himself. I find that simply awesome.)

Actress Eva Longoria has reportedly been hit with a baby ban by the producers of hit TV show Desperate Housewives for fear of ruining their scripts.

She says, “We’re fine with that. We want to spend some time with each other, even though we want kids very much.”

(Does this mean the sex ban is still on?)

-Amare Stoudemire is dealing with his little brother’s troubles with the law. Marwan Williams, Amare’s half-brother, was one of five people arrested on July 4th in what police believed to be a botched drug heist.

“It’s a little disappointing,” Stoudemire said. “All I can do is put my prayers out there and hope everything works out for the best.”
