Glory Johnson, Diary 2

Hey guys,

All-Star Weekend just finished and having all those outstanding players in the same place at the same time was awesome! I was humbled by the experience and I appreciate everyone who worked to get me there. Regardless of playing time, I’m happy I made it and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

A lot of people had been asking me to dunk so during warm-ups I had to throw one down lol. The dunks from Candace Parker and Maya Moore were really awesome and I’m glad the fans got to see a little bit of what we can do.

Next year, I hope the WNBA puts a dunk competition together because lots of us can dunk and lots of people want to see it! I’ll practice dunking a lot more during the offseason just in case I get to participate in a dunk contest. I know some of the other players (especially Brittney Griner) will come up with some stank nasty, faint-worthy (Maya Moore lol), out-of-this-world dunks. I hope I can keep up.

My birthday was on the same day as the All-Star game. Thanks again for all the B-Day wishes! When I arrived back in Tulsa, my family members were here to surprise me. I got some pretty cool gifts. One of my favorites was my Twerk Team Captain shirt. People don’t know this about me, but dancing is one of my favorite things to do outside of basketball.

I must say the highlight of my birthday celebration was when I smashed a piece of cake on Temeka Johnson’s face while she was posing for a fake picture. She never saw it coming lol.

Going back to regular-season play, I’m just going to continue hustling for that W and do the best I can to make myself and my teammates better. We have a team full of talent and I believe we’re capable of making the playoffs. We just need to capitalize on a few things and I’m sure we can make it happen.

‘Til next time,
Glory Johnson / @MISSVOL25
