Amar’e Stoudemire May Return This Week

According to New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson, forward Amar’e Stoudemire could take part in a team practice as soon as tomorrow. Reports had STAT targeting December 25 for a return, but that may get pushed up. Per the NY Daily News: “Stoudemire, who had knee surgery in October and has yet to make his regular season debut, could play as early as Friday against the Chicago Bulls if he resumes practicing with the team. Stoudemire has been working out on his own for weeks and appears to be fit. On Monday, Woodson also said that Carmelo Anthony, who missed Saturday’s win over Cleveland with a sprained left ankle and sore left knee, is a game time decision for tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets. Also, Rasheed Wallace will miss his second straight game with a sore left foot.”
