Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr plans to bring reigning NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala off the bench for the defending champs in 2015-’16.
Iguodala, who gritted his teeth last season and accepted his sixth man role, posted a flurry of tweets Thursday night in which he jokingly made outlandish demands to his coach.
Then trade me… https://t.co/eahYRKAKYf

Kerr, gearing up for this weekend’s American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, says he briefly discussed Iguodala’s role during the title celebration last month.
Per the Mercury News:
Beside sharing tales about the championship glory, Kerr did talk some shop about the team’s plans, most notably that he doesn’t expect to change the starting lineup and insert NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala back into it.
“I saw him at the postgame party in Cleveland, went up and said, ‘Congrats, MVP, you were incredible, what a job. And you’re going back to the bench next year,'” Kerr said. “And he laughed. And I laughed. Obviously kind of a joke.
“But I don’t anticipate changing anything. We won 67 games with the group that we had. And we’ve got our core back, just about everybody’s back. And more than likely we’ll play it the same way. But you never know how things go. We’ll see. But the good thing is we’re capable of playing a lot of different ways with a lot of different combinations, as we showed throughout the season.”
