Brandon Roy to Undergo Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

It’s no longer just a possibility; Brandon Roy’s knees will go under the knife. Blazers’ Edge has the official word from the team: “Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy will undergo arthroscopic surgery on both knees, it was announced today by General Manager Rich Cho. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Don Roberts in Vancouver, Wash. next week. There is no timetable for his return. ‘I’m trying to do the best thing I can to get back on the floor,’ said Roy. ‘We’ve been able to get a number of different opinions and it’s something we’ve decided.’ Roy, 26, has missed 16 games this season (three games from Nov. 16-20 and the last 13 games beginning on Dec. 17) with a sore left knee.”
