Chandler Parsons Says Houston Rockets are the NBA’s Best Team

Chandler Parsons was feeling quite confident in his squad following Sunday’s 118-113 comeback win against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers. Parsons gives the Houston Rockets (44-19) the nod as the L’s best team. Per CSN Houston:

“We think we’re the best team in the league,” Chandler Parsons said. “We’re going to go and prove it every single night. It’s a big win for us, but at the end of the day, it’s just one win against a good team. On to the next one. We don’t think we’re done. We’re not getting arrogant or conceited or anything. But we think we can play with anybody and we’ve proved that this week. It’s fun because we know we can even get better.”

“We just want to hold up that trophy come June,” Dwight Howard said. “We just have to stay humble, stay hungry and continue to do the small things that help us win games. Tonight was a tough test for us. I think early in the season, we probably would have lost this game. But we found a way to win. Not everybody had a good game particularly. James (Harden), he picked it up with his scoring, hit some tough shots. and Jeremy (Lin) had an amazing game. We cannot get cocky, we cannot lose our focus, that’s when you fail. We gotta stay humble.”

“We beat three good teams and had a dogfight kind of win in Orlando,” head coach Kevin McHale said. “We go on the road for three, so we’ll enjoy this one tonight. I’ll watch the final episode of True Detective tonight and then we’ll get on a plane tomorrow and go to Oklahoma City and have another dogfight. It just keeps coming, then we’ve got Chicago, who is playing well and tough. Then we have Miami again, so this is a big week for us.

“That was one gutty win by the team. Those guys really found a way the last 12 minutes of the fourth quarter and five minutes (of overtime), that 17 minutes was really a gritty kind of gut-it-out (win).”
