Restricted free agent Chandler Parsons is at last getting his payday, and now the Houston Rockets will have three days to match or let him join the Dallas Mavericks on a three-year, $46 million deal. Per ESPN:

It remains to be seen whether Houston will match the offer while the Rockets are trying to convince Chris Bosh to leave Miami and sign with them. Parsons averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game last season for the Rockets.

Sources say Parsons’ deal is likely to possess a player option after the second season — which could make Parsons a free agent in the summer of 2016 alongside star Rockets center Dwight Howard — and a hefty trade kicker.

It is unclear whether the Rockets will match the offer, but Houston general manager Daryl Morey has had conversations with the agents for the three best unrestricted free agent forwards: Luol Deng, Trevor Ariza and Paul Pierce, sources said.
