Chris Bosh Wants to Return to Miami Next Season

by May 28, 2014

Chris Bosh has a pretty sweet gig in Miami. He plays beside two of the best basketball players on the planet, and he has a chance to help lead the Heat to its third straight title this year. In an interview with ESPN’s Dan LeBatard, Bosh said that he plans on returning to Miami at the end of this season, when he can opt out of his contract and become a free agent, even saying that he’d take a pay cut if he has to.

Bosh was asked about his upcoming opportunity to leave in free agency during an appearance on The Dan LeBatard Show this afternoon and said, “Yeah, I mean, I don’t want to go anywhere. I like it here. It’s Miami. Everybody wants to come here. Yeah.”

When asked if he would accept a below-market offer from the Heat, he answered, “If that’s what it takes.”

Bosh, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade each have an early-termination option in their contract that allows them to be free agents this summer. Wade and James have not indicated their plans.

In March, Bosh went on the show and was asked for a true-or-false answer on whether he will be back and whether James will be back. He said true for both.
