After the Clippers lost to the Rockets in Game 7 on Sunday, ending LA’s season with yet another disappointment for point god Chris Paul, he sat at the podium with some heavy emotions. And yet, when asked about the end to the Clippers’ run, he made reference to a Will Ferrell movie.

Ricky Bobby is of course the protagonist from the 2006 flick Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. CP3 was quoting this famous line from the movie:
It might be comical, but we get what he means: To Chris Paul, not winning the title is equivalent to going 0-82. He wants a ring and nothing less feels like any kind of accomplishment at all—even if he took this Clippers bunch deeper than ever before this season.
