Chris Paul Out With a Bruised Kneecap

by January 23, 2013

Due to a bruised right kneecap, LA Clippers superstar guard Chris Paul missed last night‘s game against the visiting OKC Thunder, and there’s no telling when CP3 will return to the court. Per the LA Times and Daily News: “Paul aggravated the injury in the first quarter of Monday night’s game at Golden State and limped around the rest of the game. Paul had missed three consecutive games after the injury first occurred against the Orlando Magic. He came back to play against the Washington Wizards on Saturday and looked OK. Clippers Coach Vinny Del Negro said that Paul was a ‘little bit sore, which we expected,’ on Tuesday. Del Negro also said that there is no timetable for Paul to return. […] Paul declined a pregame interview request. ‘We’ll hold him out and see how he feels the next couple of days,’ Del Negro said. ‘There’s no timetable. Maybe in a week, I’m not sure what it’s going to be right now. I know he’s not playing (against Oklahoma City). He had an MRI last week, when he (hurt) it.’ Further tests could be scheduled soon for Paul, who was injured when he bumped knees with Orlando’s J.J. Redick in the closing moments of the Clippers’ loss to the Magic on Jan. 12. […] ‘He’ll probably get some X-rays and things, just to double-check some things,’ Del Negro said. ‘He’s just sore. It wasn’t made worse. It’s a pain-tolerance thing. It’s a bone bruise on your kneecap. You have to be able to run and move and cut and jump and do things. It’s going to be sore for a while. He’s got to work through it. We’ve got to get him some therapy. When he’s ready, he’ll be ready.'”
