Cory Joseph Signs With Texas

The last remaining uncommitted blue-chip point guard in the class of 2010 is no longer available in the recruiting market. Findlay Prep’s Cory Joseph has reportedly committed to play for head coach Rick Barnes and the University of Texas. The 6-3 Canadian native will join fellow Canadian and high school teammate Tristan Thompson. His former Findlay Prep teammate, Avery Bradley, played the point for Texas this past season as a freshman and has put his name in the NBA Draft although he has not signed with an agent. Myck Kabongo, currently a junior at St. Benedict’s in New Jersey and also a Canadian native, is part of the Longhorns’ 2011 recruiting class.  Joseph averaged over 18 points and 5 assists for Findlay as a senior and is the school’s all-time leader in points, assists, steals and 3-point shooting.
