Derrick Rose Says He’s Not Getting Foul Calls

Derrick Rose is averaging just 2.4 free throw attempts per night, and the Knicks’ point guard is frustrated with the lack of calls.

Rose says that refs are swallowing their whistles when he attacks the cup.

New York is off to a disappointing 3-6 start.

Per the NY Post:

“I’m more concerned about me not getting calls,” Rose said after a 118-107 loss to the Raptors dropped the Knicks to 3-6. “I’m going to the lane the same way everyone else is and not getting calls. They said I throw myself into people. That’s the league. If I beat them there, I’m there before they’re there and their hands aren’t up straight up. I think it’s a foul if there’s contact.’’

“They tell me they don’t see it,” Rose said. “Three of them are out there. I don’t see how three of them don’t see it — me hitting the floor. I don’t see how that’s not a foul.”

The Knicks are on pace for another 50-loss campaign with the struggling Mavericks on tap at the Garden on Monday. It’s hard to imagine Knicks president Phil Jackson surviving another 50-plus-loss season, even if their lottery pick would be theirs. […] “Losing hurts, period,” Rose said. “I’ve never been a loser in my life. We got to figure ways out, we’re getting closer. We’re getting a lot closer, but the effort we have, we got to have that effort throughout the entire game.”
