DJ Augustin to Host Free Basketball Camp In New Orleans

Yesterday DJ Augustin signed a one-year contract with the Toronto Raptors worth upwards of $1 million, and today the 25-year-old native of New Orleans, LA, and all-around good guy announced that he’ll be hosting a free basketball camp in his hometown.

Via a press release:

Newly acquired Toronto Raptor and New Orleans own DJ Augustin announced today that he will host his annual summer basketball camp for boys between the ages of 8-15.  This camp will be held at Xavier University of Louisiana and is limited to the first 100 campers.  Camp will feature fundamental basketball instruction, competitive competition and giveaways for each participant.

“Its and honor for me to host this camp.  I have had the opportunity to meet so many great basketball minds and have learned so much on this NBA Journey.  I want to pass on what I’ve learned to others,” said DJ Augustin.  I am blessed to provide a free basketball camp to young boys who may not have the opportunity to provide them with life skills along the way.

The camp starts on July 29 and runs through the end of the month.
