Doin’ it in the Park Official World Premiere @ Urban Film Festival (NYC) Friday


All summer long we’ve been filling you in on upcoming screenings for the must-watch basketball documentary Doin’ it in the Park: Pick-Up Basketball, NYC. If you’ve ever experienced pick-up basketball on the black-top then you’re not going to want to miss out on this one. This independent film, co-directed by streetball legend DJ Bobbito Garcia and Kevin Couliau, explores the definition, history, culture and social impact of New York’s basketball scene. Free-screenings have been held all over the world and has drawn thousands of spectators throughout NYC, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Houston, London, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and Italy–with future screenings to take place in San Francisco, South Africa, Australia, Denmark, Canada and Senegal. Tomorrow, Friday, September 21, the official world premiere of Doin’ it in the Park will go down at the Urban Film Festival in New York City (AMC Theater 34th Street between 8th/9th Avenue) at 5:45pm. An after-party/reception will be held at Tillman’s NYC–165 West 26TH ST (6TH/7TH Ave), from 8pm to 10pm. Free entry to the reception with a ticket stub or Urban World Film festival pass.
