Down Goes Timofey Mozgov With Knee and Ankle Injuries

Bad news and even worse timing for The Moz and his squad. The Denver Post reports: “In the first quarter Tuesday night, the 7-foot-1 center suffered a sprained left ankle and knee against Oklahoma City. He is scheduled to have an MRI today and didn’t travel with the Nuggets to Dallas for tonight’s game. ‘It’s not a great time for an injury,’ Mozgov said. ‘It’s never a good time for an injury. The doctor said my knee is OK, nothing serious. But about my ankle? We’ll see.’ Oklahoma City forward Nick Collison fell on Mozgov’s leg with his foot planted on the court. Mozgov, in considerable pain, was helped off the court and to the locker room. The injury comes at a particularly bad time for the Nuggets, who are also missing another big man, Chris Ander- sen. Andersen is dealing with a sprained right ankle. He suffered the injury April 1 at Sacramento.”
