Former KU Star Inks Contract

After going undrafted, point guard Sherron Collins has found a home, at least temporarily, in Charlotte. The KC Star catches us up to speed: “After a successful stint with Charlotte’s summer-league team, Collins signed a nonguaranteed, two-year deal with the team Friday. ‘Sherron had a productive summer league and showed some of the qualities he displayed while at Kansas,’ general manager Rod Higgins said. ‘He’s going to have an opportunity to compete for a roster spot.’ Collins’ best summer-league game was a 32-point outing, including seven three-pointers, against Orlando.”
