Grizzlies Have ‘No Intention’ to Trade OJ Mayo

According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal, the Grizzlies deny having had conversations regarding OJ Mayo in a three-team deal involving the Nuggets and Knicks. But we’ve learned, where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire: “Griz brass strongly stated that there is no intention to trade Mayo despite the latest noise created by an ESPN.com article. The report said the New York Knicks tried to enlist Memphis (with Mayo) to complete a three-way deal in order to land Denver’s Anthony. Griz general manager Chris Wallace said he hasn’t had any conversations with New York or Denver in that regard. Knicks boss Donnie Walsh also chimed in by telling New York media there was no truth to the report.”
