Officials will now be able to use instant-replay pretty much at anytime to get calls right. From the AP: “Referees will now be able to use replay at any point during the game to determine if a player should shoot free throws after a foul occurred and whether a clear-path-to-the-basket foul meets the criteria for such a call. In addition, replay can be used throughout the overtime period to determine which player last touched the ball prior to it going out-of-bounds. Also, during the final two minutes of regulation and the entire OT, replay can show if the ball touched the rim to correctly adjust the 24-second shot clock. Finally, the referees can use replay to fix the game clock and shot clock during reviews of an out-of-bounds call.”
