Is Tony Parker’s [Regular] Season Done?

San Antonio may not have the services of its point guard until the postseason. The Express-News reports: “Parker suffered a fracture to the fourth metacarpal on his shooting hand near the end of the first half of Saturday’s win at Memphis and could miss up to six weeks — a timetable that would keep him out at least until the playoffs. And so tonight, the Spurs return to Quicken Loans Arena, site of the clinching game of the 2007 NBA Finals, without the Most Valuable Player of that series. ‘Nobody in the league is going to feel sorry for us,’ Manu Ginobili said. ‘We’ve got to go compete and try and win anyway.’ Parker’s numbers have been down from their career peak last season — dropping to 16.5 points and 5.7 assists — but he is still integral to the Spurs’ operation. Certainly, they would prefer to have every possible weapon in their holster against the Cavaliers, who boast the NBA’s best overall record (49-15).”
