Jason Kidd Bought A World Series Ticket For a Lifelong Cubs Fan

The Chicago Cubs are in the World Series for the first time since 1945 and tickets for the games at Wrigley Field are astronomical. Bucks employee, and lifelong Cubs fan, Mike Sergo will be attending Game 5 in Chicago thanks to Jason Kidd.

Fellow Milwaukee employee Daniel Marks posted a video, along with the story, on his Instagram account  of the team telling Sergo that he will be going to Game 5.

Mike Sergo is a coworker of mine with the @bucks and has been here 20 years. He is the most selfless person I know, who would lend a hand to anyone.

He is also the biggest Cubs fan I know, and when they made the world series, he tried every contact he knew to try to get there. He couldn’t find a ticket.

Going to the world series at Wrigley Field would mean more to Mike than anything in this world (literally) so I offered to start up a collection to help Mike buy a ticket.

A number of staff agreed to pitch in but then Coach Kidd said he’d take care of the ticket. Here is Mike finding out he’d be going to Wrigley Field for game 5.

One of the coolest moments of my life.
