J.R. Smith Facing Suspension?

Earl’s sulking on the bench isn’t sitting well with his coach (or management), and he may face some disciplinary action from the team: “Nuggets coach George Karl said [Sunday] that a decision has yet to be made about whether the team will suspend J.R. Smith following to his immature behavior during Saturday’s game. The guard was seen pouting, and Karl described Smith’s behavior on the bench as ‘eclectic.’ Smith has a history of childish behavior, and it’s possible that it could now get him suspended, at least, for Monday’s game against Charlotte. A season ago, Carmelo Anthony refused to come out of a game, and his defiance earned him a one-game suspension. Karl said that after Saturday’s game, he spoke with two members of Denver’s brass — Rex Chapman and Josh Kroenke — and that there will still be phone calls and debates today before Denver decides if suspending Smith is the right decision.”
