Kevin Love Not Returning Kelly Olynyk’s Calls

For the first time since he underwent season-ending shoulder surgery, Kevin Love rejoined his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates Wednesday night, and gave them an emotional boost prior to their dominant 106-91 Game 2 win against the Chicago Bulls.

Love was in good spirits, and got a roaring ovation from the Cavs faithful.

As for Boston Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk, the guy responsible for the devastating injury, Love isn’t ready to talk him just yet.

Per the NEOMG:

“It was great to see and be around my brothers again,” Love said late Wednesday evening. “I wanted to be here for Monday’s game, but I still had to deal with some stuff at the hospital [in New York]. I’m glad I was able to come tonight, though.” […] Love joined his team on the bench midway through the second quarter, sling and all. Shortly after, his image was shown on the Jumbotron, and The Q detonated with cheers. Love had to stand up and give a wave. You could tell he was touched by the crowd’s gesture.

“It was amazing,” Love said. “I loved it. These are some great fans.” […] “Just having Kevin back, just seeing his face,” (LeBron) James said. “Obviously we know he’s down about the injury, but you couldn’t tell by today. He was happy to be back. He had a great response from the fans. They love him here and it was great to have him around today for sure.”

“Oh yeah. I’m over it,” Love said. “I’m just trying to get healthy.” […] Love said Olynyk has reached out multiple times and he acknowledged not returning any of his calls. He’ll save that conversation for down the road. Right now, he has more important business to tend to.
