Kobe Bryant is not looking like the Kobe Bryant we thought we knew, so far this season. He’s still averaging 15.8 points, 2.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds, but it’s been rough out there. For all we know, by next week the Black Mamba could be back at the top of his game, but right now he and the Lakers are struggling mightily. After losing to the Nuggets at home last night, Los Angeles sits at 0-4. In his post-game comments, Kobe acknowledged that Laker fans should go ahead and “freak out.”
From Eric Pincus of the LA Times:
I asked Kobe what I should tell the fans who are freaking out with the Lakers' losses – he said let them freak out its good for the soul

Kobe Bryant's main point postgame is that the players are so young they aren't experienced enough to make the necessary reads defensively

Kobe's example was the way the Lakers let Faried roll to the wrong side defensively – continually didn't read the correct action

Here's the specific quote from Kobe to the fans freaking out – "Freak out. It's good. It's good for the soul."
