Lawsuit: Man Sues Shaq Over Alleged Kidnapping

by Ryne Nelson

Shaq is facing wild allegations in the L.A. civil court in which convicted felon Robert Ross alleges that the Big Aristotle ordered him to kill a woman that Shaq had impregnated, a gang member, and a renowned record producer.

TMZ has released the complaint:

Shaq’s former pal Robert Ross — an ex-gang member — is suing O’Neal for allegedly masterminding a plot to have him kidnapped by other gang members back in 2008.

In the documents, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Ross claims O’Neal organized and funded a series of murders and brutal attacks on people who did him wrong.

The L.A. Times quotes Shaq’s attorney, who called the the accusations “outlandish” and “pure fiction” in a statement.

Criminal charges have not been filed yet, and TNT surely looked into some background before signing him to a multi-year deal.

But that doesn’t take away from the severity of these allegations. Depending on whether the lawsuit passes summary judgment or not, the case could be thrown out quickly or Shaq may have to pay a settlement.
