LeBron James on Kobe Bryant: ‘He Knows He Don’t Suck’

Earlier this week Kobe Bryant’s frustrations so far this season on the court led him to proclaim, “I freaking suck.” But fellow superstar LeBron James chimed in to say that, of course, Kobe doesn’t suck. In Bron’s mind, Kobe is just challenging himself, and that it has absolutely nothing to do with his age. In fact, LBJ says he has at times felt like he “sucked” too. Here’s what King James told Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal:

I asked James about Bryant’s struggles this season and James laughed. “What I see is a challenge to himself,” James told me. “It has zero to do with his age. Zero. I think at one point in my career, in my 20s, I felt like I sucked. It’s all a personal challenge. I know him. He knows he don’t suck. C’mon man, it’s Kobe Bryant. But it’s a personal challenge to him. That’s all that is.”
