Los Angeles Lakers to Reportedly Waive Metta World Peace

According to the OC Register, the Los Angeles Lakers will part ways with forward Metta World Peace, by amnestying him between July 10-16. Kobe Bryant tweeted that he wishes that wasn’t the case: “Sweet a guy as he is, @MettaWorldPeace will be waived via amnesty by Lakers to save about $30 million, barring some late change … Lakers will sign (a small forward) for minimum salary or move Kobe to SF. […] ‘No game 7 win without Metta! This is a tough day for laker nation … Personally I’d keep Metta and make a run with the unit we have and just add a few pieces #keepthepeace #lakersstilldeciding.'”
