Michael Kidd-Gilchrist To Miss Remainder Of Season After Shoulder Surgery

by February 16, 2016

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will undergo shoulder surgery for the second time in four months, and will miss the rest of the 2015-16 season.

MKG played in just seven games this season, but helped Charlotte to wins against the Cavs, Bulls and Pacers. He aggressively rehabbed from an October surgery and returned sooner than expected, only to re-tear the labrum in his left shoulder on February 10.

From Woj at The Vertical:

After suffering another torn labrum, Charlotte Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will undergo shoulder surgery and will miss the remainder of the season, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Kidd-Gilchrist re-injured the shoulder Feb. 10 in a win over the Indiana Pacers after aggressively rehabbing from October shoulder surgery to return much sooner than expected.
