Mike Brown Looking to Lower Kobe Bryant’s Minutes

by January 18, 2012

Kobe Bryant is playing 37 minutes per game so far this season, which is a tad higher than what his coach Mike Brown is comfortable with. From the OC Register: “Lakers coach Mike Brown said he will try to decrease Kobe Bryant’s minutes in the future. ‘I do want to get it down,’ Brown said Tuesday. Bryant, 33, is averaging nearly 37 minutes this season, about a four-minute increase from last season with a sore right knee under Phil Jackson. Given Bryant extremely high usage rate with the Lakers’ possessions, he’s doing more than Brown wants.”
